What makes us UneeQ
UneeQ started life in 2010 as a company called FaceMe (which focussed on video conferencing solutions). As we grew in our homeland of New Zealand, we began to see more and more the value of face-to-face communication โ but it was becoming increasingly rare in a digital world filled with customer self-service, chatbots and online forms. CX went out of the window in the search for speed and scale.
That was until we began a new project exploring digital humans for an Australian government agency that would improve access to information for disabled people. Nadia, voiced by Cate Blanchett and able to have natural, human conversation grew out of that, but sadly couldnโt get off the ground at that point in time.
What we learnt, however, was how to bring an amazing customer experience to digital channels. In fact, digital humans proved to be (and still are) the only way to get the human touch at scale.
In 2019, FaceMe rebranded to UneeQ. After three years of growth in New Zealand, Australia and Europe, weโve truly launched globally, with offices in the United States and projects underway in Asia, putting us on five of the seven continents... and weโre just getting started.
