IT’S SPAY DAY!! Yay!!! Did you know kittens can become pregnant as early as 4 months old?!? Grateful to foster these sweet babes through SafeHaven Humane Society, who ensure these babes get all their preventative care and spay/neuter prior to adoption! 😻🙏🏼

Meet Lefty, a sweet long-haired moo moo 🐄 with an ostrich tail…oh yes, he’s as unique as they come. He was brought into the shelter as a stray with an injured left paw. X-rays showed a shattered bullet of some sort. 💔😭🤬 And God only knows what happened to his tail, but it wasn’t anything recent, as it’s fully healed over. Unfortunately the infection in his paw had festered too long before treatment and had spread to the bone. He ended up with his front left paw being amputated last Tuesday. I’ve had him on my “snugs n drugs” regimen since then, and his surgical site is healing well. 🥰 He’s a total doll. Ahhhh I’ve been MIA….busy with 2 nursing jobs, my online biz (selling our amazing disposable litter boxes - 🔗 in bio 😻), and fostering cats & kittens, but of course! I’ll be posting some fostering updates soon, so be sure you’re following us! In the meantime, caption this or just tell me how cute GusGus is in the comments. He’s such a little smoosh! He’ll be big enough for his double cryptorchid neuter surgery in a few weeks! He & Fievel are now a bonded pair…YAY! Hey guys! My name is Fievel! I’m 14 days old, and my eyes are finally fully open! 🥳 Little brother, GusGus, is working on his. They’re about halfway open! Just like Fievel, the mouse, I’m a trailblazer! GusGus is also living up to his mouse name and is more focused on eating and naps. 😆

The eyeball fairy 🧚🏼‍♀️ paid a brief visit to Fievel today, but passed right by GusGus. 😆 They’re 11 days old, and were born almost hairless, so definitely a bit preemie. The fever coats and the scratches they and mama arrived with are also indicative of mama being stressed at birth. 😿 This sweet little family is safe now, and thankfully were found and brought into the shelter just ahead of this nasty ice storm we’re having. 🙏🏼

Fievel and GusGus have graduated from preemie mice 🐭 🐭 to small potatoes 🥔🥔. 🥺🫶

Sooooo teeny tiny…but also nice, round, full bellies! Also, I spy a teency bit of ginger color behind the ear of the little white “mouse”! 🐁🧡 Mama has fully relaxed and settled in here, and is taking such good care of her babes. 🖤🧡 She’s a gorgeous dark calico with the palest babies.

The ittiest bittiest! 🥺🫶The 3-day old babes continue to eat well, and mama let me pet her and even purred a little today. She’s warming up to me, and already knows I’m the keeper of the wet food. 👸😆

Well look who our first fosters of the year are! 😻 Meet mama, Riley, and babies Quinn & Elliott. They arrived to the shelter yesterday - just a day old with umbilical cords still attached. They’re eating well, but so tiny…perhaps preemies. So far I’m convinced they’re tiny mice and not kittens. 😹 Mama has big round, kind eyes that remind me of Toothless, the dragon. 😻
