Inspired by: sprawling wild flowers, the first sprouts of spring, the dusk of mid summer, pulling your fresh linen off the line, biting into juicy local grown fruit, and that feeling of being surrounded by amazing company after a long hot day, when day drifts into night. The new collection will be released on our website a few days before online store opening.

We will have our handcrafted jar candles, wax melts and warmers at Cafe 43's Winter Art Fair this evening (Saturday, December 2nd) from 5-9 PM during Mineral Point's Candlelight Shopping.
A picture perfect holiday event, as if you were dropped into the middle of a Hallmark Christmas movie. If you live in the area, we would love to see you there - stop by and say hi!
If you aren't able to make it to our in-person booth this Saturday, but you are hoping to order from our winter collection, we recommend placing your order online prior to Saturday evening at www.springhousecandles.com (local delivery option as well).
We will be taking all of our remaining inventory to the Winter Art Fair, so we can't guarantee any online inventory will be left after the event.

Our handcrafted recipes have 23 years of testing, perfecting, and retesting backing them:
If you've ever had the honor of getting your hands on a Laurie Kromm recipe, they'll have clear ingredients listed but almost zero measurements. When you ask her about how much of something to put in, she, without skipping a beat, says "until it's enough... you'll know". She has this intrinsic driver inside of her dictating how to craft the best of everything, whether it's a holiday candies, a candle or a leather purse.
Turns out, she pours candles the same way. We open her "bible" of recipes and quickly realize these are not quite recipes but rather years of one off notes to herself. The true measurements live in her brain, and are determined by how it feels or smells or looks or doesn't look. Garret was pouring wax melts the other day and she says "see, now your wax is too cool. See how it got thicker while pouring?" And Garret looks at me a little wide eyed, "how does she just know that?!"
It's her super trait and man has it been fun learning this craft with her as our guide.

BIG News: Springhouse Candles is back in business!
My mom Laurie Kromm started this journey in 2000 out of our kitchen at the farm and over 22 years grew it to an amazing company that so many of you loved. Last December, she and her right hand woman, Laurie Sue, retired and closed up shop (literally).
My husband and I (Laurie's youngest daughter) couldn't let Springhouse Candles just drift away so weve decided to reopen the family business. We're creating the same wonderful, handcrafted products, with a bit of a face lift and slightly new business model.
We open our online store once per season, and sell 4 seasonal scents and 2 house scents in both 7.5 oz jar candles and wax melts. We pour a set amount of inventory. Once they sell out we close our store down to prepare for the next season's opening. We ship to anywhere in the lower 48 states.
