Simple. Luxury. Our products are made by hand in small batches on our farm, nestled between Vermont's Taconic Mountains and New York's Battenkill. We use raw goat's milk from our Nubian goats, we do not dilute with water. Nubians are known for the high butterfat content of their milk, their long, pendulous, floppy ears and for being very vocal. In addition to our high quality milk we use sustainable, earth friendly oils and as little packaging as possible.

Sustainable Palm Oil. Palm oil is great for soap. It creates a nice firm bar but it is not always good for the environment. Vast areas of rainforest are destroyed in order to make way for palm oil plantations. Many orangutans and other wildlife are killed in this process. For this reason we are rewriting our recipes to eliminate palm oil altogether.

Our goats are pets. We can identify each of our Nubian goats by their unique voice from inside our home. Unlike most dairy farms we allow our goats to care for and nurse their kids (whenever possible). Most dairy farmers separate the kids from their mother shortly after birth, then they milk the goats and bottle feed the kids. We allow the kids to nurse from their mothers unless there is a medical reason preventing it. Once the kids are older and eating on their own thus drinking and needing less milk from mom, we begin milking and taking our “share” of the milk (whatever the kids don’t drink). We get less milk doing it this way, but we feel that it is important for mother and baby to have this time together and bond.

We do not use lard in our soaps.

Goats Milk- Contains alpha-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid. Goat’s milk contains many vitamins but it is particularly high in vitamin A. Since our goat’s milk has a higher than average butterfat content it is very moisturizing, making it great for dry skin. It also contains many minerals including selenium (which is reported to have amazing health benefits). The soil where we live (and in much of the US) is selenium deficient, so we supplement with additional selenium.
