Luxie's Livin' Large
Foster dog Luxie. 10 years old. 15 lbs. www.ccrt.net Luxie is a 10-year-Chihuahua who’s loving, healthy and just a little overweight.
Don’t let her age fool you – she is extremely active and loves chasing her ball, going on walks, going for roller blades, or going for a car ride. She has separation anxiety and needs a home with someone around more often than not (even post-covid). She always wants to be by her human, following her around, sitting beside her, pawing for pets. She currently sleeps in bed right by her foster mom’s
Some kibble catching before she left
Luxie ready to start her furever …bye!
Sometimes she will grab a toy other than a ball

Conversating
Careful 🤣
She has gotten better about not bullying or tormenting Odin when he plays…but still needs a reminder from time to time . When she first came Odin couldn’t play at all with her in the area.
Luxie waiting until she can go outside for ball
Very proud of Luxie today at the park. Lots of new dogs (some bigger than she is used to), lots of running and playing. She did need to be redirected on several occasions…but overall did really well.
Luxie meeting her potential pawrents
She gets so excited about the ball. I do have to watch where I throw as she will barrel they dogs….but I may hit people in doing this 🤣
Bedtime routine
Nana is not amused that Luxie has been in the garden and pool and now is climbing onto her with her dirty feet 🤣
Getting much better with food around other dogs
She loves meeting people on walks
Luxie fact # 4. The ball isn’t the only thing she enjoys in her mouth…she also sometimes eats her 💩 👀😳😂
Can’t wait for pool to fill
Back to blading now that the temps are reasonable
She figured out how to get treat off bottom!
Luxie fact #3. She is dog selective. Dog tolerant and dog selective are the most typical places for a mature dog to be (dog social and dog aggressive are the other 2 that are not as common). Luxie is pretty much the definition of dog selective, which is considered normal/common in mature dogs.
Dog selective dogs will have a circle ‘approved’ dogs or types that they will do well with . Scuffles will break out quickly as they typically have short fuses. They may dislike certain play styles or types of dog on sight, and may be less than stellar on leash with other dogs. They often are seen as the ‘fun police’ or instigator in group situations. The require lots of supervision and positive direction in situations involving other dogs.
