This velvety aroid is a fighter. It was a casualty of Typhoon Ulysses, down to a single leaf hanging on for dear life after the storm. But look at it now! Can't wait for its leaves to grow big. 💚🌿

Growing a plant from cuttings brings a whole new level of excitement and achievement once the first leaf starts to unfurl. Most of the time you don't know if there will be life that would come from the cutting or you're only just taking care of soil. 😂 The first leaf is like a reward for your patience, a validation for your sanity. 😁 Not all cuttings are successful though but trust me when I say that once that tiny bump appears, the waiting game will be worth it. 💚🌿

FUN FACT: Philodendron billietiae was first discovered by Frieda Billiet in 1981. Something new I learned from a dear client who picked up this gorgeous baby. He even taught me to how to properly pronounce billietiae, more complicated to say but sounds more fancy. And no, it's not like Billie in Billie Jean. My whole life has been a lie. 😅😁
