Bathing beauties has found a new home. It started out with bands of copper paint. Did not like the effect. The fluid motion of the blue and green paint looked like wave action. Thought it should have swimmers. Did an outline of people. That looks good ,stop here. Didn’t last to long in the gallery.

The first photo was given to me from a client as a reference for a painting. Their instruction , complete a painting in my style. It is 36x48 inches and has a white frame. Copper metallic paint comprises the background. The metallic paint changes color depending on the angle of light and the source. Right brain vs left brain viewers will see this painting differently. This painting is named after a street artist from the 1980’s, who is it? His paintings are now worth millions of dollars. He died of a drug overdose. 24x 20 acrylic on canvas available at my studio.

This painting is called Nautilus. It is an abstract which I have been working on for over 6 years. It is 20 x 16 inches with approximately 15 layers of paint. The first 10 layers are acrylic and the last 5 or 6 are oil paints. I would apply leftover paint from numerous paintings on to this canvas expecting to have a completed painting at some point. Finally that time has arrived. It is for sale at Bill’s Art Center in Camdenton.

One of my favorite's just sold!

Life’s a Beach, 20 x 24 inches has a new home.

This is an oil painting 36 x 24 inches, it’s named Halston. He was a fashion designer in the 1980’s. This dress design led to present day t-shirts that look like tuxedos, bikinis etc. The circles and rectangles in the upper portion of the painting are metallic candy wrappers. Some of the metallic pieces are dispersed in the circles in the lower background. These circles were applied using oil paint on the heads of different size nails. This background technique of using gold leaf and other metallic materials was developed by an famous artist who worked in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Do you know who this artist is? Halston is available at Lake Fine Art Academy and Galleria in Osage Beach.
