Lynn D. Martin for McComb City Ward 2
I am running for the position of Selectwoman Ward 2 for the City of McComb. "We've Got Work To Do!" This record formulated the basis for my decision.
After many hours of prayer and self-reflection, I have decided to offer myself in the election to the position of Selectwoman Ward 2 for the City of McComb for the years 2022-2026. I believe that a Selectwoman should be visionary, be dedicated, and be committed to the the City. During my twenty-five years of living in McComb, I have established a proven record of my leadership skills, organization

Knowing how to build people from the inside of an organization is not a skill that everyone in leadership has; however, we have voted them into power or not voting put them into power.

I am continuing to have friends request to be added to this group. The election was held in June. I lost by 22 votes. It still feels good though to know that there are those who probably couldnât have voted for me but supported my efforts.
Weâll be running again in four years. If you have access to the Facebook live board meetings, you will see what I mean.
This photo was taken during the Juneteenth Festival earlier this year. Mrs. Casin marks her 93rd birthday this week.
I am of the opinion that no party solves every issue while other parties block what could be accomplished by the other in this ball of confusion.
Americans have increasingly negative views of those in the other political party Republicans and Democrats increasingly think people in the other party are closed-minded, dishonest, unintelligent and, even, immoral.
So, internalized oppression does exist in McComb, Mississippi. This same mayor chose to have my election opponent work as his poll watcher on May 17th when the Democratic candidate mayoral runoff was held yelling at me that he could choose whomever he wanted to work for him at the polls. A few weeks have gone by and now the world knows that he is a âcop outâ as The Young Turks has called it as theyâve seen it.
Always get the full picture, that way you will know the whole story.
[The election was filled with irregularities, influencing, abuse of authority, unsecured ballot boxes, etc. Now we can see others finally admitting it. But, why wait for four years to get it one hundred percent right?]
