Bar M Woodworking
Hi, I'm Becky! I build custom cabinetry and furniture. Please DM me for a quote on your project
Redoing the deck the same time as 4 other projects has definitely slowed me down.... But it's finally looking like a walkable surface
New floor, walls/window painted, & cabinets placed this weekend! Now that the big fun stuff is done, the trim and drawers will take me another 3 months to do 😉
So close!
Two lowers that I will add pull-out drawers to, an upper that will get side panels and some trim for all of them...
Slow going, but pre finishing the panels gave me the best sneak peak!!
Back to my favorites: Walnut cabinets. These doors are going to be epic!
Stripes, so many stripes....
Because I make everything more complicated than it needs to be, I decided to spline all the boards together. Now to add the shelves and figuring out the staining order
Even if school is practically done for the year, I know the backpack station will be well loved next fall!
Installed a small shelf/coat rack to complete the shoe bench and finished the dry fit of the locker.
Busy 2 weeks and more sanding is on the agenda
Milling up the next job between coats of paint and stain
Everything put together on one bench, now painting and trimming the second
Remind me to never offer to paint shoe cubbies again! 😉
Busy day, but so close to wrapping this one up!
-installed the base
-made a template
-cut and tested the top
-stained the top
In-between coats of paint, decided to work on the next project.
I did not take into account the rebound of the feather board after a piece exited 😵😩
I always think the final sand will go quicker than it actually does...
Paint this week, for sure!
Busy weekend sanding. But almost ready to paint and stain.
Two bench tops down, one to go.
Now if I can just get my router bit unstuck from my collet.....
Made some pretty 1x3's. 😍
Glue ups in the basement next
Building the equivalent of three 6 foot benches at one time might of been a mistake 😆😵
But finally seeing progress. Making 4 panels is next then these bad boys will be ready for paint!
Feeling like I made good progress this weekend. Face frames ready to be put together. Plus made a little headway milling the tops for both these benches
It's been slow going on these benches in December. Drawers complete and mid way through milling up my raw lumber.
I forgot how creative I need to be when working with sheet goods...
But two custom bench built-ins coming right up!
Quick little wainscoting project for a nursery this weekend. It's always nice when you just have to reengineer the downstairs pattern/materials.
And we have a dresser! Maybe we went a bit big, but I swear it fits and we practically doubled our storage
Couldn't wait, had to put the feet under it!
