49,783 elementary teachers out of 91,468 examinees (54.43%) passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) on Friday.

The examination was conducted on October 2, 2022 in Thailand and 34 testing centers in the Philippines.

PRC announced that 29,183 are first timers and 20,600 are repeaters out of the 49,783 elementary teacher passers.

GOOD NEWS FOR GOV’T EMPLOYEES!

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Saturday issued administrative orders granting service recognition incentives at a uniform rate not exceeding P20,000 for employees in the executive department, and a one-time rice allowance to all government employees.

According to the statement released by the Office of the Press Secretary, employees in local government units (LGUs), including those in the barangays, may also receive the incentive depending on the LGU’s financial capability, subject to limitation in LGU budget under the Local Government Code of 1991.

The order also authorizes the release of assistance to individuals and groups of people whose services are engaged through job orders (JO), contracts of service (COS), or other similarly situated working arrangements defined under a Commission on Audit’s circular order.
