Viva The 4 Legged Diva
Hi! I’m Viva III. AKA “Viva The 4 Legged Diva”. I’m a Canine Companions assistance dog, and
Viva’s first snow day with me! I love how much she enjoys the snow!🥰❤️🐕
I had a great day at Canine Companions DogFest yesterday with my person, and we loved catching up with one of the people who raised me, Gina! I was very excited to see my former roommate Cupid too!🐶🐾❤️
Hi All! It’s Viva! I figured I’d come on here because I heard it was National Dog Day today and I wanted to celebrate my accomplishments with all of you, and finally introduce my person. I graduated from my professional training 2 weeks ago! Training was a lot of hard (and fun) work- And I was finally matched with my person named “Maddie”. We are a very happy team- she says I’m the sweetest and smartest 4 legged Diva she’s ever met! I absolutely loved living with the King Family for the first part of my life, and I’m thankful to have some wonderful memories and things to remember them by.🥰
Now, I’m busy living the next part of my life as an amazing assistance dog for my person. We’ve already had lots of fun in training and at home! My person says that I make her mornings so happy because every day begins with me wagging my tail excitedly while I walk circles around her- celebrating that she is awake and ready for a new day with me.❤️😂
My person says I’m the best girl ever, especially when we go for walks, and when we are in public.
Anyway, here are some pictures of me and my person throughout the past couple weeks. You can see some of the ways I’m great at assisting her - especially closing doors and picking up and carrying items for her. I met some of my person’s family and their dog, too. The dog and I are becoming friends, but I’ll admit I’m a bit of a show off with her sometimes.- “Viva the 4 Legged Diva” 🐾
Hi everyone. This is my last post as Viva III Canine Companions puppy. I will let my new person introduce herself when we are all settled in. For now we are Team M and Viva.
From the puppy raisers: We just met the sweetest person and are so excited for her and Viva. They are the PERFECT match and wish them all the best!!
Reported Kupid back with more breaking news…
Two of my puppy raisers have made it to the Northeast Region of Canine Companions. They will soon be meeting Miss M (I cannot reveal her name just yet!) and Viva! More news coming soon!
Reporter Kupid here posting breaking news on Viva III:
It’s official, she is graduating as a service dog! She found her perfect person and Viva’s puppy raisers are so excited to meet her new partner.
Congratulations Team (soon to be announced) and Viva III.
Guess who was pre-matched today?
Me!!! I’ll check back in next Monday or Tuesday and let you know more! We are working hard and having fun this week! Soon you will meet my new partner!
Here is a class photo of our Team Training class of pups. I’m wearing a scarf because I like to be just a little different!
We practiced and we studied and we worked hard. Now it’s time. I started Team Training today. Lots of prayers and paws crossed that I find my match this week. My book is ready and waiting for my new person and their family! I can’t atop wagging my tail I’m so excited!
I borrowed this from my professional trainer. My friends an I are staying cool and having fun at a swim party! I think most of our water ended up on the ground! Boy was it fun!
Happy 4th of July!
Can you find me?
I’m hanging out with my fabulous trainer and all my friends.
I borrowed a computer to share a photo my trainer took of me practicing my skills.
My puppy raisers received my latest report. I’ve made it to my second semester! It’s so exciting here. I’m learning new skills and perfecting the ones I’ve been learning. My fellow class mates and I have had outings and worked hard this past month. We’ve also had fun and played a lot too!
I’m enjoying everything about professional training! Signing off for now before my trainer finds out I’m using her computer!
Kupid here reviewing Viva’s report. She’s learning new things and having fun. They went on an outing to Target. She went to the library. She had fun and played with the other pups. She’s even learning to like her new bandana. Sometimes the trainers find that we pups prefer to work in a bandana. It sounds like that is what Viva is trying out these days. She is happily performing her commands with it in and walks willingly to her trainer to put it on! Yay Viva!!
Talita and Carrera joined me (Kupid) today. They filled the inboxes and I squished in the outbox cubby. I think I might need more boxes if they are going to keep visiting my inbox/outbox office area.
Another update is coming in two weeks on Viva’s progress in professional training. We are waiting patiently!
Kupid here checking out Viva’s first report. She says hi to everyone and she loves her trainer! She is working on her basic commands and learning to hold and push things. That’s so cool! She went on an outing to Lowe’s and worked with her handler. She is showing improvement and we are all cheering Viva and her handler on as they move to the next month of her training. Go Viva!!
Check out my photos in this video and my friends photos too!
Kupid CCI Puppy here reporting for Viva.
***She made it through the first two nights and is settling in with the other new pups. The next few weeks the trainers, staff, and volunteers will be doing their assessments and medical evaluations. They want to be sure Viva is healthy and that she wants to be a service dog.
***I am so happy they do these tests. Canine Companions for Independence is all about doing what is best for the pup and for the people who will be their partners someday, if that is where they are meant to be.
***Viva is in good hands. I do miss stealing her toys. She never growled at me when I took her toys! 😊
Here is my latest “pupdate”. We left very early this morning to head out to Long Island. I met my trainer, took some photos and she took me back to meet my classmates. I was so excited and was wagging as she took me through the door! Can’t wait to find out who my roommate is!
Stay tuned! My trainer will send updates once a month!
It’s almost time to leave for professional training aka “puppy college”. Talita is giving me some tips and I’m ready for my first puppy party in professional training. So many new pups to meet and the trainers and staff too. My bags are packed and I’m ready!
Kupid CCI Puppy is pretty comfy too!
I’m going to miss my Talita pillow. Can I take her to professional training? She’s really comfy!
Getting spoiled before I leave for professional training. Watching a movie with my puppy raiser while laying on his legs.
I’m resting in the back office today. Feeling better and snuggling my moose friend.
I’m pretty tired but my puppy raisers are making me feel comfy and warm. My purple jumpsuit is pretty snazzy and will keep me from licking the incision. Heading to bed early tonight!
Are you kidding? No kibble or treats after 7pm?! What is happening in this house? I don’t get breakfast tomorrow either? Creed and Talita are whispering. Sounds like they get breakfast! And to top it off I’m spending the day at the vet with Dr. Kohler? Don’t get me wrong. She’s really nice but I’m not sure I want to spend the day there!
What are my puppy raisers thinking?! They put Kupid in my kennel with me while their office is being cleaned! I am not pleased! Now he’s snoring! I’m never going to get any rest today!
I’m filing a complaint at work! My puppy raiser’s girlfriend is helping out and her service dog is in my spot next to Aunt Chrissie getting all the kibble. Sharing Aunt Chrissie is not in my contract!
First we hung our feet over the edge. Then I tried to snuggle and Talita’s head and my bottom fell off the bed. We finally figured it out and we are all comfy and warm.
I have to be close to Talita, even if I have to stretch across two beds!
Angela asked us to help her with her physics extra credit. I think I need glasses and the little kid next to me is cheating off my paper!
How do I look? Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!
Talita isn’t squished is she? Merry Christmas Eve!
I have an armrest called Talita!
Not sure how I feel about this snow stuff!
Making sure my puppy raiser is feeling better.
Carrera and I are relaxing in the sun. One puppy raisers is getting over Covid and another is now fighting Covid. These are not fun times! Stay safe everyone!
Synchronized sleeping...
Talita and I are sharing the dog bed. It’s the thin one so the floor heat comes through. It’s nice and comfy.
Not so sure how I feel about this! No one asked me if I wanted a new puppy in the house. He’s loud and steals my toys! He has no concept of personal space and I think if he could get to my bowl he would steal my kibble! Can we send him back?
