When we complete your movement and strength screen we will have an idea of where you are:

1. Weak and pain free
2 weak and painful
3. Strong and painful
4. Strong and pain free

There is a different strategy for each of those categories!

For example!

Is the area strong and painful? Then rest might be the best thing for it. It might be strong and painful because it’s over trained. We can audit your overall training volume and see if you are biased to one type of movement!!

Back in 2013 I hurt my back. I was doing something I love, CrossFit! I had high training volume and was in the pursuit of being competitive in the sport.

I was doing 225 squat cleans and 30inch box jumps. I caught one particular clean really low and felt a distinct pop followed by a really bad back spasms. At that time I herniated my L5-S1 disc. (What I would come to find out later)

I was following the popular physical therapists in the CrossFit space and tried to smash my posas like that would fix the spasm. But nothing worked. I had zero guidance from my coach at the gym and so I simply just stoped coming in.

I knew a chiropractor from church who was gracious enough to treat me! His treatment was phenomenal, but he simply stated that CrossFit was dangerous and I should focus on swimming and biking as my exercise!

But I didn’t love swimming and biking… I loved CrossFit. Conflicted and concerned for my well being I tried a little bit of swimming and biking. But really just stoped moving all together.

The amazing thing about fitness and time is literally the fitter you are the more time it takes to undo what fitness did!

In this time I had enough fitness to stay relatively thin and good looking. Good looking enough to bag my wife 🤩 the day after our engagement I decided to get back surgery!

after surgery is when I got FAT 315+ I had such a bad connection with fitness and pain that I just stoped moving. Time caught up with me and eating endless burritos started to weigh my down! The stress of finances, relationships, self esteem. It was a lot and I spiraled and took my wife with me!

This whole path could have changed if I had a better coach! Who knew what injuries in the gym looked like and could program specifically for them! If I had a doctor that understood that suggesting to stop doing the thing that kept me healthy was the worst advice he could give! I might not have gone down this path!

I take complete 100% ownership for my life! My life is a result of my choices!

I will be the doctor who will find a way to keep you doing the movement that you love the most!!

What spells will you cast today?

The words you hear, think & say have power, they a literal spells!

They influence and create!

Combined they make up the most powerful stories in your life.

These stories influence how you:
🪄 Think - subconsciously & consciously
🪄 Feel - emotionally & physically
🪄 Act - creating & destroying

What stories are continually running in the background that do not serve you, that is destroying the future you want??

Best way to find out is to write!

Get those spells out on paper, bring awareness to them! Establish distance from them so you can objectively look and evaluate the power it has on you and then process it out or filter it through, keeping what is good and letting go what is bad!!

I originally learned this back in 2014 when I took my first CrossFit level1!

This spoke to me so deeply! If general wellness as measured by your doctor is lab values.

For example “ blood pressure of 160/95 is pathological 120/70 is considered normal and 105/55 is consistent with and athletes blood pressure; body fat of 40% is pathological, 20% is normal, 10% is fit. We observe similar ordering for bone density, triglycerides, muscle mass, ect.”

Fitness is super wellness! The further we pursue fitness the further we are from Sickness! Fitness is your insurance against the “ravages of time and disease” Fitness is inseparably attached to health!
