It's been quite a while since I last posted anything...but better late than never!
During my time away from Facebook, I have continued my hobby of writing and creating new songs. I have also invested in some recording equipment and tried my hand at producing my own material. The results aren't perfect but I'm learning as I go and most of all, I'm enjoying the process.
In my last post I mentioned I would be uploading my song 'Music is My Medicine'.
But I have decided to postpone that one for now. Instead I have uploaded a song called 'The Scotsman' (5 minutes ago). This song is about the most famous train in the world 'The Flying Scotsman'! It is currently being celebrated around the world for its 100th birthday.

I have also collaborated with Luke again, in putting together a video. This will be uploaded to YouTube later in the week.

Another week, another transition to all of our lives! Yet in the midst of all that is going on, people are still creating, singing and playing music.....'MUSIC GIVES A SOUL TO THE UNIVERSE, WINGS TO THE MIND, FLIGHT TO THE IMAGINATION AND LIFE TO EVERYTHING' (Plato)....How true!
For everyone who has sent encouraging words and shared the 'One World' video, again I would like to say thankyou.
I am now focusing my attention on putting together the next video to go with a song I have recorded. This song celebrates the birth of rock and roll and acknowledges those legends who kick started it back in the 50's.

Another busy week in these crazy times!!Thankyou all so much for taking the time to watch the 'One World' video and then sharing it with your family & freinds.
Because of your actions, the song has been watched by over 8,000 people in the past 2 weeks!! It is now currently hitting just over 1000 views per day!!
To experienced You tubers, this may seem like small numbers, but to me it is extremely encouraging. I am so pleased that the message of the song is resonating with so many people from all over the world.
Im looking forward to seeing how far it can go and intend to continue sharing this song and its message with all who are willing to have a listen. Please feel free to share it with as many people as you can and together, maybe we can make a little difference in this troubled world.

Its been a busy few weeks since uploading my first two songs and I've had a lot of encouraging feedback from many people. So before I say anything else, I want to say thank you for all your support, it is very much appreciated!
As you can probably tell, I am a bit of a novice when it comes to social media and promoting my songs, but hopefully I will get better at it as I go along.

The Gypsy King has been received very well and was probably helped by Tyson's brilliant win and becoming world heavyweight champion once again. What an achievement for Tyson Fury and what a great message of encouragement to all who are dealing with mental health issues.
'There's always a way back. Never ever give up!!

I am currently trying to share 'One World' with different environmental groups to see if they want to use it in their campaigns. If you know of any groups where you live, then please feel free to share the video with them.
I have 2 other songs in this genre that I intend to record sometime later this year.
But before I do that I will be collaborating with my video making partners and start putting together another video for a song that has already been recorded.
This song is quite different from the first two and if you like 50's rock, then hopefully you'll like this one.

One World

The original version of One World was written back in 1998 and was intended to be put on an album i was working on. But at that time it was felt that it didn't fit with the vibe of the other tracks so it was shelved. I re-wrote the song prior to recording it in late 2018.

The song itself is essentially about our responsibility to live at one with the earth and to treat her with respect. The message that is now very much in the minds many people.

The Gypsy King is a song I wrote in November 2019 and recorded in January 2020. It is about the great heavy weight boxer Tyson Fury.
Apart from the fact that Tyson is a fellow Mancunian, his story is a fascinating one.
Its a story of brilliant boxing skills, of perseverance and determination that enabled him to become The World Heavy Weight Champion in November 2015. Only then to crash and burn almost into oblivion due to mental health issues and all that goes with it. He lost all his titles, purpose in life and almost committed su***de. But against all the odds Tyson Fury managed to turn his life around and made one of the biggest comebacks in boxing history.
