Working on ankle and knee strength!
Pain therapy with Brita! Reading on the vibration plate. Now we have a 45 minute wait before our next appointment.
I know Max looks great on the outside, it's pretty interesting to see what happens on the inside. At the level of the clavicle Max's aberrant right subclavian artery slows food down and causes it to stop just below the artery. Imagine having every bite stuck in your throat, feeling it bounce up and down, having to take a drink after every bite to get it to move. Imagine having to often bring that food back up into your mouth to chew it more or try to swallow it again. Imagine constantly feeling like you're on the verge of vomiting with every bite. Just because you can't see what's wrong doesn't mean everything is fine. #invisibleillness #VACTERL #ARSA #aberrantrightsubclavianartery #RareDisease #choosekindness
Mighty Max had a very cool day today meeting with our new friend Chris Conlee and doing a video interview for a cool new opportunity to raise awareness and help raise funds. We planned to interview and tape at the park, when it was time to go it was raining lightly outside and so we discussed options about where to go but Max decided he still wanted to go to the park so that's what we did! We played in the rain and had a great interview. No matter the adversity this boy finds a way to live life with a smile on his face and I so love him for it!
