For the past couple of months, they have been meeting at your favorite “Neighborhood Non-Fiction Niche” bookstore and BOOM‼️ The Houston Chronicle picked up a story about Houston Stitching Together and their fun [subversive] work which brings attention to what has been going on in HISD.

Don’t get it twisted: WE ❤️🖤💚 PUBLIC SCHOOLS‼️ We just don’t rock with APPOINTED (read: non-elected) officials who appear to be intentionally destroying the district from within (allegedly).

Tomorrow afternoon, come hang out with us at our favorite children’s sneaker shop in Houston, ‼️

Storytime is going down and we will be reading the book, THIS BOOK IS BANNED‼️ It’s funny, entertaining, and shares a wonderful lesson about why banning books is silly‼️

We will also have snacks, a coloring activity, and, for the first few people who show up, there may even be a gifted book‼️

Once again, we are partnering with Restoring Justice & Texas Organizing Project - Houston to bring this healing circle experience this Saturday, September 21st, from 6PM - 8PM SHARP‼️

The conversation will explore “the intentionality of turning our collective struggle toward change”.

Frankie Beverly, of Maze featuring Frankie Beverly fame, has passed away.

Beverly had spent over 60 years in the music industry, with the majority of that time as the lead singer for Philadelphia based band, Maze.

Frankie Beverly recently retired from music this year.

He was 77.
