Mark Dorn for Abbeville County Coroner
I am seeking the office of Coroner in the 2020 Abbeville County election, first and foremost, due to
Thank You Abbeville County! I am overwhelmed & thankful to everyone for coming out to vote for me to become your new Coroner! I look forward to serving you!
November 3rd is fast approaching.
I am excited to be at this stage in the campaign. Despite the inability to get out and meet people one on one, I feel confident the citizens of Abbeville County are ready for a Coroner and his investigators to be a highly professional and compassionate organization ready to serve on day one.
I am facing an incumbent who has longevity and is highly regarded in the Abbeville community. I do not see this as barrier but an opportunity to provide the community with a Coroner who’s primary goal is to be proactive in preserving life.
Thank you for your continued support and please help get my word out to any friends or family that may live in Abbeville County.
“Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.””
Mark 9:35 NIV
Abbeville County has now recorded 135 COVID-19 cases.
With the relaxing of restrictions and the urgency for life to return to normal, we are seeing the surge in cases as a result.
Despite the overwhelming amount of information available on every news outlet easily viewed on smartphones and tablets regarding COVID-19 , it is apparent that an element of complacency, weariness of how the disease has become the focus, lack of understanding of its potential, and blatant disregard for the situation at hand has entered into the posture of our community.
PLEASE remember that we are all responsible for reducing the spread of this deadly disease.
Wear a mask when out in public. If you choose not too, then your actions may have detrimental consequences to your own family or friends.
Avoid gathering for social events no matter how strong the desire to meet with friends and family. Again, you or someone at the event may be an asymptomatic carrier of the disease with the potential to infect everyone there.
Use hand sanitizers when unable to wash your hands.
We ALL must be responsible and protect each other in our community and reduce the potential exposure to this disease. So that, our community and it’s businesses can continue the process of recovering from this devastating situation.
Proverbs 2:11
“Discretion will protect you and understanding will guard you.” NIV.
Abbeville county has now confirmed 86 cases of COVID-19. We must continue to practice social distancing, limit large gatherings, use hand washing/sanitizers and continue wearing masks in public.
This disease is deadly!
Treatment options have still not been validated in the clinical setting!
Cases are going to continue to rise! Not because of increased testing!
As your Coroner, my goal is to focus on life, to promote preventable deaths.
Good evening everyone and thank you for all the positive responses and sharing of my social media page to increase awareness of my campaign for Abbeville County Coroner.
We just received a small number of new signs and I am extremely anxious to get them out into the community. With Abbeville canceling all of its outdoor events due to the COVID -19 crisis, this has been my only means of getting my name into the community. As restrictions are being lifted, we hope to have some future events in the surrounding communities we can attend to meet the residents of this exceptional area we love.
My website, www.dornforcoroner.com is getting more interest and for that I am grateful.
I have also just partnered with Anedot,

a secure service churches and other political campaigns use for acceptance of campaign donations. I am extremely grateful for the monetary support I have received thus far. I did not realize how costly even a campaign such as mine has been.
The COVID -19 crisis has also been a deterrent to my campaign. As a health care provider, I must respect that this disease shows no prejudice.
Please respect this virus and how a deadly disease that it is.
Honor each other’s private space, show kindness, continue social distancing and know that God has all this under his control.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you.”
Thank you again for your support.
