Really pleased today to be told I’m in the Welsh ABT Team again this year. I’ve been so busy with my exams that I’ve not had chance to shoot much, but managed the one and only 25 straight of the day on my first round. I followed this with 22, 22 and finished with a 24, scoring a total of 93/100 placing me top in B class, and overall 3rd. Enjoyed the day at Fauxdegla International Clay Shooting Centre, and great to see Rhys Tucker Clay Shooting doing so well and also being chosen for the Welsh team juniors. Also great to see the others in the Welsh team being chosen. Looking forward to spending time with you all in Bywell in September.
What an experience the last few weeks have been. Wearing a Wales cap & vest and representing my country twice in the Home Internationals in Ireland. Firstly at Courtlough for the Olympic Trap, and then Esker for the Automatic Ball Trap.
No personal best or infact anything to write home about for my debut in OT in Courtlough. Managed a 23 in the first round and was hopeful to improve on that, but between weather and light problems, it all went a bit down hill. To ease the pain most competitors scores were similar. Me and my team mate Cal Pritchard won overall winning junior team.
For my second cap in ABT in Esker I was doing ‘ok’ scoring an 87 (21/24/22/20)on the first day. I remained hopeful of improving on that in day 2 but with a 22/24/21 my last round put a stop to that, and I finished on 170/200.
I was pleasently surprised to win Wales-New Cap-High Gun as there was some great shooters. Also thanks to some great shooting from my team mate Rhys Tucker we won overall winning Junior team.
Thanks to mum and Dad for organising both trips and making sure I was where I should be on time. 👍🏼 xx
Contemplating the job ahead. 🤞
Came overall second in last weekends 50 OT competition shooting 24 & 20. Had just had my gun serviced and was pleased with it.
Looking forward to a bit more practice this weekend in the Trap Challenge at Fauxdegla, then we’re off to Ireland for the Home International where I am proudly shooting for Wales in the juniors section.
Really enjoyed my first visit to Nuthampstead Shooting Ground, competing this weekend against the countries best, in the British Shooting Shotgun Series Round 2. Not my best performance but proud I ended on 107/125. This placed me 7th out of 23 juniors and 23rd out of the 72 shooters there that day.
I’m proud to announce I’ve been selected to shoot OT for Wales in the junior section. My first Welsh cap!!!!
Pleased with my result in the UT comp today at Fauxdegla Premier Shooting Ground. Managed a 25 straight with a final score of 92/100 coming overall 3rd.
Personal best today during my second ABT Welsh selection shoot at Fauxdegla Premier Shooting Ground. 23,22,21,25 coming 4th overall, and top of my class.
Good day shooting at Fauxdegla Premier Shooting Ground in the ABT Welsh selection shoot, getting 90 ex 100. Looking forward to the same again tomorrow.
Cold today up at Fauxdegla Premier Shooting Ground. Shot 90/100 in the OT competition, winning top of B class and top junior. Tried Fiocchi Official Rossa cartridges today in my trusted Beretta ASE Gold, and liked them. I’ll definitely be using them again if I can source more.
Along with my 90/100 in the ABT competition last weekend it’s been a good start to the year.
Just back from Fauxdegla Premier Shooting Ground, where I came 1st place in both the 50 OT comp, and the 50 ABT comp. I won a small cash prise for this. I used my faithful Beretta ASE gold with Cheddite Mach3 cartridges.

I managed to fit some OT practice in this week, at Sealand Manor North Wales Shooting School. We tried out their newly installed Promatic Card system. We hadn’t been there for a while, even though it’s only 10 mins away. Dad wanted to try out his new Beretta too. Fortunately we made a line with two other shooters that were there.
I had a good shoot at Fauxdegla yesterday. Hadn’t shot anything for a couple of months, so was feeling out of practice. I was pleased to shot a 23, 21 in the OT 50 comp, coming joint first. I went on to shoot 19, 23 in the ABT 50 comp, coming joint second. Needless to say I was pleased with my trusted Beretta ASE Gold with Briely chokes.
Great start to our weekend in Knighton. Bit of practice here at Griffin Lloyd shooting ground, as we’ve never been here before. Looking forward to the ABT competition tomorrow.
