Ugh, I’m embarrassed about how lame I am at the social media marketing game for my small biz, especially when a host creates such beautiful posts like this. I’m so happy to return to Gather 103 this Saturday and I hope you’re planning to drop in to see all the amazing things our local makers have created! Shop small, shop local and support our community. See you there!

We went to the opening reception last night for one of my dearest friends, Randy. I can honestly say that his floral design talent was the biggest inspiration in my own design. He has a heart as big as the sky. He never came to work in anything less than a button down shirt and tie. His scarves are a trademark. At one time he sported a dashing mustache. If it’s made with sugar, he loves it. Today is his birthday. So, I guess this fellas name is Randy until someone names him after their own favorite dude. 😉
I wait like the snowdrops for the sun to melt the snow and drive the cold away in spring. “It was bitingly cold, and the days that followed didn't bring a sunbeam. It was weather to freeze such a delicate little flower to bits. But there was more strength in it than even it realized. That strength was in its happy faith that summer must come, and this had been imparted by its own deep desire and confirmed by the warm sunlight. And so with patient hope it stood there in its white dress, in the white snow, bowing its head when the snowflakes fell thick and heavy or while the icy winds swept over it.” - Hans Cristian Anderson, The Snowdrop 1863
It’s the first day of Spring and we’re feeling all the hope it brings. What name would you give this wee lass?
