This qualitative research project will be asking Black Americans what their perceptions and experiences have been in funding funerals for loved ones and how this affected their grief and bereavement.

This anonymous survey is for Black Americans who have experience with funeral arrangements or ministers, funeral home staff, or hospice staff that work directly with Black Americans who are planning funerals. This survey will take approximately 10-30 minutes and is completely voluntary. Researchers at Western Carolina University would like to learn how to better help people and use this information to find ways to make funerals more affordable.
