After years of not painting, 4 years ago this month, I did this.
It is a recreation of "Ill Dog Amelie" by Michael Sowa. Also, shown in the movie Amélie.
I tried looking at the references as little as possible while still capturing the anxiety and confusion in his eyes.
Honestly, this is the painting that got me back into making art at all. Makes me happy every time I see it in my room.
