Valet playing Schlegel’s Village of Wentworth Heights in Hamilton. It was their Christmas dinner for Long term Care & Retirement residents & their families. Played some classics as well as Christmas tunes.

We are honoured to be asked by Mayor Cam Guthrie to be the the musical act accompaniment for the Christmas tree lighting downtown Guelph this year. Put on some warm clothes and come on out, drink some cocoa, hear us play Christmas tunes, get in the holiday spirit! Saturday November 30th
Meet Tristan Culbert (16). Valet's multi-talented piano player and often the MC for the band. Tristan is also an aspiring young Orchestral Percussionist. He is a Percussionist in the Kitchener Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Guelph Concert Band and The Principal Percussionist with the Guelph Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has also had the opportunity to play several times with the Guelph Symphony Orchestra. Tristan started learning classical piano from his father at age 4. He currently receives his Percussion training from well known local musician Richard Burrows. Tristan plays in various jazz bands at Centennial CVI under the direction of Jeff Daniels. Tristan recently sang in a duet as a finalist in the Inspirations 2019 competition, and has also been a professional actor since the age of 10.
Meet Josh Collesso (17), Valet's amazing Bass player. Josh is a talented multi-instrumental musician. Josh began his instrument training at age 10 with various talented Jam School teachers (Spencer Arn, Mark Mongrain, Steve Thoms) and that is where he developed his love for Jazz music. Josh is also tutored privately by the accomplished Dave O’Neil & Dave Langguth. Josh has played many stages including Hillside Festival (youth showcase), Guelph Multicultural Festival, Kitchener Ribfest, The House of Guitars in Rochester, I❤️Beer Festival, Manhattans Guelph. In 2019 he was 1 of 2 featured youth musicians at the Guelph Jazz Festival. Josh plays with the Guelph Youth Jazz Ensemble under the direction of the professional Brent Rowan. He currently attends Centennial CVI and is also in a few Jazz bands under the tutelage of the skilled Jeff Daniels.
Meet Andrew Schoettler (17). Valet's awesome drummer keeping the beat for the band. Andrew is an experienced Jazz, Latin & Funk Drummer. He began drumming at age 7 and studied under Guelph's very own Nick Macerollo while also taking lessons through Jam School drumming in bands under the instruction of Marc Mongrain. He is now studying under well known area Jazz musician Dave O'Neill. He has played Hillside Festival and The Guelph Multicultural Festival as well as the Guelph Santa Claus parade. Andrew has gained a great deal of his inspiration through his percussion work in all of the school bands within Centennial CVI directed by Jeff Daniels and Eric Froats including the CVI Marching Band and drum line as lead snare, jazz combo, jazz band, concert band, and the Symphonic Winds Ensemble which was invited to the 2019 Musicfest Canada Nationals.
Introducing Jakob Durst. Valet's uber talented tenor saxphonist (16). Jakob is an avid young jazz musician. He studies privately with Brent Rowan and holds a chair in the prestigious Hamilton All Star Jazz Band. He is also a member of the Guelph Youth Jazz Ensemble. Jakob was one of the two featured youth musicians at the 2019 Guelph Jazz festival, playing various places during the festival. Jakob has had the honour to play with some of Canada;s best Jazz musicians, such as Mike Murley, Dave Restivio, Jason Louge, Tara Davidson, Paul Stevenson and Kevin Turcotte
Valet had the pleasure of meeting Robb Nash a top 40 hits rock musician who shares his story to empower, inspire and motivate youth to build resilience and positivity through hardship.
