A timely reminder.
Life has seemed chaotic, busy and just way too fast lately.
A reminder to slow down, take those breaths, be aware, slowdown and tune into nature.

To simply, be. As nature does. Be.

It's crazy hard most of the time, with the juggle of life. This is a reminder I need. To stop and and just be. The year has passed in a blur for me and it is important to remember to be present in the small moments, to live simply and appreciate tiny wonders.

LOVED searching for these amongst stones and driftwood

A collection from Kawhia Harbour and surrounds. Featuring the marine squid like creature, a fossilised Belemnite 🐚 They come from the Jurassic period, so a whopping 120 million years old AT LEAST 🦕🤯
Kawhia is the only area in NZ where the layers of rock are this old 🦕🐚🦕

Fossilised Wood Pendant
. Love this raw and rough piece of fossilised bark. With each piece I create, I honour the natural form in which I found it, as much as possible

Through the fossilisation process, various minerals preserve trees, plants and animal bones.
This wood is true gem quality 🧡 Its hardness is similiar to that of Topaz or a Steel Nail on the Moh scale

🧡. a moment of pause.
This is a moment of reflection. A reminder to look deeper than the sometimes blurred and busy moments of our everyday that roll on and on with each full moon. When we pause and reflect, truly stop for those all important breaths, we know in ourselves what is important. We can wonder and we dream.

Children need dreams, wonder, curiosity and adventure. At this time, talking about the stars, the universe, our beauitful moon is so important. Teach children to look, wonder and feel further than they can reach. Build dreams together.

At this time, as Winter settles in and Puanga shines, I have been attempting to pause and reflect. Life can be chaotic and crazy, its sometimes blurry and sometimes infuriating, but enjoy the now and every simple thing that brings a smile to your face. Take a moment to bring back the inner child 🧡
