Fred Paci Music

This coming year, I strive to up my game: as a husband, as an artist, as an entrepreneur, and as a human being. Why the pizza? Because I thought it would serve perfectly as a metaphor for what I’m writing about in this post.

A pizza can be many things, but the quality of the ingredients will absolutely dictate the quality of the finished product. The more you make them, the better they get, and the more efficient you become at making them.

I can call myself an artist, a husband, an entrepreneur, etc.. but only by making sure I’m putting in the right ingredients will I manifest what I envision myself to be. Making sure I’m eating right (not always pizza lol) I’m active physically, I’m balancing music with family life, making sure I work on the « back end » of my artistry.. all these things need attention in order for me to be the best ME I can be for myself, and for my loved ones.

This was just a thought I wanted to share. What do YOU have cooking for 2024?

This year was a busy year. I released lofi under Fred Paci, while releasing more music under 4 other accounts. I created Iron Pillow, with which I release Chill lofi metal beats on guitar, more lofi/boombap under Beats alFredo, a joint Project called Paleni with my dear friend , and finally, Midnight Camaro with which I started releasing synthwave music.
I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me by listening to my music, sharing my music, and to all of you amazing producers and collaborators for making music with me. And of course all the labels who have given my music the ability to reach so many.

I have some amazing projects underway for 2024 and I can’t wait to share so much more with you all! From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

“Soulmates” is out everywhere. I’m extremely happy to be releasing my first track with . I wrote this song as a tribute to my wife. The song is supposed to put in music what I have a hard time putting into words. The feeling of loving somebody unconditionally and of knowing that this unconditional love is reciprocated right back to you. She has been my best friend, my #1 supporter and the best teammate a guy could ask for in this crazy game called life. My wish is that everyone on this planet can be lucky enough to experience this feeling in their lifetime.

So I just reached a total of 20,000,000 streams (I wrote the number in full for dramatic effect 😀)

I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has supported me these past couple of years. I’m truly grateful to be surrounded by so many talented producers who keep me inspired to create better music, so many great labels that have given me a platform for my music to be heard, for and who so generously added many of my songs to some of their largest playlists, and very importantly, for you guys!!

Lofi music is such that most listeners do not know who wrote the music they’re listening to, as the music is geared towards passive listening, but so many of you actively support me with your kind words and encouragement, which means the world to me.

When I started recording my own music, it was for my own enjoyment, with no specific goal other than to enjoy the process of creating something that I enjoy listening to. It’s extremely gratifying for me to know that I’m making music that the world can also enjoy.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you!🙏

Wow! To all the listeners, collaborators and labels I got to know and work with this year, all I can say is ‘thank you’! I feel extremely blessed to be making music I love, and to have it be heard by so many! Hey folks,

This past month has been nothing short of mind blowing. I released a lot of music, got on some pretty huge editorials, and racked up a record amount of streams. But more importantly, I made steps forward with personal accountability & mental wellness.

After having served 23 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, I retired last month and turned a new leaf. As much as I am grateful for all the amazing opportunities the military has given me over the years, with so many friendships forged, it’s time for me to switch gears and really go for it & push the envelope with my artform(s) and build something absolutely epic!

Making and releasing music is the coolest thing I’ve done in a very long time, and I’m so glad to have started doing this last year. I want give a massive “Thank you” to everyone tagged in this post, for your support, for your talent and for your friendship. I can’t wait to release these babies!!!

I’ve been told recently by a fellow musician that I’m super lucky for the success I’ve had this year. I’m writing this post in hopes that as many musicians as possible out there get to read this. YOU generate your own luck!

The music business is constantly evolving (some would say devolving?) and it’s absolutely necessary to understand a few basic fundamental truths about it.

1. It’s difficult to earn a decent living off of ‘selling’ your digital music. (If I lived off of stream alone right now, I’d be pretty hungry) In fact, it’s a disservice to yourself to put all your eggs in one basket. There are many ways to generate income, and it takes work & planning to properly make the most of these avenues.
2. Your success in the business is directly impacted by the quality of your music. So it’s extremely important to keep learning your craft. (Production, ear training, proficiency on your instrument, learning the style(s) of music which you’re wanting to excel in)
3. Relationships, Relationships, Relationships!! I owe a great deal of my humble success to the artists that agree to collaborate with me. If you have a skill that others do not have, then by all means, focus on that! Your skill will benefit both you, and the artists who collaborate with you. Nurture these relationships.
4. Don’t worry about rejection, it’s part of life and it’s nothing personal.

Th main thing I’m trying to say is “don’t wait for the digital music climate to be fair in order to start reaching your goals, or you’re going to wait your whole life and waste valuable time”
