Got my new act recorded yesterday. Not as polished as Id like it, but I think it’s going to be epic once I get some kinks worked out. But the Dirty Show deadline draws near, so I have to submit what I have. Either way, its been a learning expirience, and Im grateful for the opportunity.

Lydia Thompson!!
In today's bitesized burlesque history we take a look at Lydia Thompson!
Shockingly known as the first woman to wear tights on stage in 19th Century Britain, (paving the way for str1pt3ase artists down the line - thanks Lydia!) she was a talented actor, satirist & dancer.
In 1868 she took her burlesque troupe 'The British Blondes' and introduced their version of Victorian burlesque to New York.
"A curious combination of comedy, parody, satire, improvisation, song and dance, variety acts, cross-dressing, extravagant stage effects, risqué jokes and saucy costumes – while familiar enough to British audiences, took New York by storm"
The scandal it caused resulted in rocketing ticket sales and a six month tour was extended to six years!

I can not even begin to describe how amazing Eartha Kittens Rouge Reveal was last night at the Magic Stick!
All of the performers blew me away! These wonderful performers are by far my forever idols.

Hats off to all the performers!
