We have been learning about harvest time, and how the farmers harvest their crops.
The children used their senses, fine motor skills and their imaginations to explore our harvest tuff tray π π π½

We even found a Shark in the Park π

Lovely rainbow sensory activity this morning followed by a walk to find trains and colours to match our rainbow π
Lovely morning collecting sticks and lavender to make playdough ....
We used the lavender to scent the dough, and the sticks to roll, and make patterns in the dough ...

This morning we have had a lovely time, we have been on a little walk, we found footprints, farmers crops, trains and birds π¦
Once we were back we decided to create our own little birds ....

Today we have been talking about Spring, and how new baby animals are born in spring.
The children have enjoyed farm small world play, we talked about what baby animals are called ...
Today has been all about dental hygiene, we have been learning about how to keep our mouths healthy and clean π¬
As part of the we have been talking about what birds we may see in our garden, we have talked about how the birds might not find much food because its winter, we decided to make some bird feeders to hang in the trees. We sprinkled some extra seed onto the ground too, to make sure the birds have plenty.
I asked what shall we do with the extra seed and one little one shouted diggers! So that's what we did π
We have been learning about Chinese New Year this week, we have used all of our senses to explore the different opportunities π
More mark making opportunities today, exploring paint and glitter to create winter pictures π
Today we have used dinosaurs to make marks in the snow (icing sugar) the children used the feet, tails from the dinosaurs and their own hands to make marks ....
Little winter matching game this morning, encouraging the children to count, match colours and talk about winter.
Today we have been leaning about the story of Christmas....
We have enjoyed watching an animated story about baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
We then enjoyed playing with hay and the nativity set ....
Our elves Candy and Noel have been very busy bringing a little bit of the North Pole to us for tomorrow π π¨ π§ββοΈ π
Our friends John and Emily have been busy making something special for Christmas jumper day tomorrow.....

The children have enjoyed mixing, filling and emptying the oats whilst talking about the Gruffalo story ... π
Our Gruffalo fun has continued today, we have enjoyed watching the animated version, and exploring a sensory tray full of the things we collected yesterday while we visited a local woods ...
