The Council Rises

In a time long past the council freely walked the earth in search of the darkness. A quest soon noticed by the eternally rotting forces who dwell below. In an attempt to maintain their power and prevent the darkness from falling into the councils hands a plan was hastily made to stop them. Satan himself rose up, claimed the darkness and held it close to his unbeating heart in hopes of protecting its secrets. The council were banished to walk the earth, cursed with normality and stripped of their memories. Hell, once more felt safe in knowing that the council would live and die in the purgatory known as life. An existence of routines and repetitions. A cruelty like no other but unknown to Hell the situation above would soon change and with it the return of the council would come to pass. Satan blindsided by his own arrogance was unable to see the flaws in his plan. On a day like any other a member of the council, stuck in his mundane existence heard an unholy sound from far off place. The sound of twisted fingers grinding on the metal strings of an axe which had once been dipped in the darkness. In an instant he awoke from his mortal slumber. The dream shattered and his memories flooded back like high tide on the river Styx. With his awakening the Black Light Council would once again reunite and this time they would be the ones who control the darkness.
