Our mission at Ranae is to offer tools that give people personalized control over their own health and an understanding of their health behaviors.
There are 2 major problems we’re addressing with 1 solution.
The first problem is that 60% of Americans have been diagnosed with 1 chronic disease and 40% with 2 or more. So addressing the prevalence of chronic disease through a disease prevention approach. The second problem is the healthcare system crisis and staffing crisis.
So how do we address these problems? One easy-to-access mobile app offering a full support health coaching and wellness shopping care solution addressing all aspects of a healthy lifestyle where every person has the information and control to not just treat symptoms but get to the root cause of their disease, or better yet, prevent it. "Getting to the root cause will help us address the unsustainable burden of disease and ensure the resilience of our health systems."
When people are educated about their health, they are more likely to make healthier choices and recognize and treat problems before expensive complications or diseases occur.
Our ultimate goal is to help people live their lives in optimal health instead of just managing symptoms and disease. We are building a digital health solution that will provide you with the ongoing support needed to maintain healthy habits for life.
Our world is becoming increasingly more sick and unwell physically, mentally, and emotionally. In 2018, 51.8% of US adults had at least 1 chronic condition, and 27.2% had multiple chronic conditions. Now, 60% live with 1 chronic disease and 40% with 2 or more.
There are many reasons for this increase in sickness but health damaging behaviors are major contributors. A lot of us lack social support, boundaries between life/work, access to affordable healthy food, education around a healthy lifestyle, or the will to maintain healthy behaviors.
Our goal is to help people be truly well through whole body health. When we’re healthy and well, we have more energy to pursue our goals and contribute positively to society. We are more productive, present, and purposeful. We reduce the burden on our healthcare system and save money. Living our lives at optimal health is not impossible. It’s not always easy but you can control many parts of the process and have continued support along the way.
Stay tuned for developments and updates on our solution coming soon.
Super excited to be here at Fox Theatre in Redwood City representing Ranae Wellness Company. I’m looking forward to sharing more about our mission and raising some much needed funding.
When I first started working on a business idea 3 years ago that would offer support, resources, and encouragement to women working in helping professions, it was because I was in the depths of burnout running a nonprofit for teen survivors of s*x trafficking. Something that was once a great passion for me, became something I resented. I was sick, exhausted, and my purpose dwindled away. I stopped. I left something I cared about so deeply because my health was in jeopardy - physically, emotionally, and mentally.
I witnessed myself personally, and many others, leaving roles/organizations that truly helped others in need because they needed help themselves. This broke my heart and made me think about how many of us aren’t living out our full potential or true purpose because we’re not well inside & out.
This motivates me to keep looking for answers and now I know that we must look at our health from every angle. Healthcare is about caring for your body, your mind, and your emotions—the whole person—so you can reach your maximum ability, whatever that is.
It’s not too late to start on a new path towards healing and becoming a healthier you, so you can live your life with full purpose!
Out of thousands of applications from start-ups around the world, I am so thankful that Ranae Wellness Company was 1 of the 140 picked to participate and present at the Startup Grind Global Conference next week!
We are even highlighted in their recent article on Medium.com as a TOP US Start-Up to Watch. WOW! Let's hope this is a positive premonition. 🙂
As many of you know, I have been iterating and working on this start-up for over 3 years now. With 90-95% of start-ups failing, you MUST believe in what you are building and demonstrate perseverance during the journey. There are some ups and MANY downs. I've learned this the hard way with other businesses I started as well. I am grateful for the potential the people who chose our application saw in this idea and would welcome all prayers and good thoughts for real partnerships to form with the people who can help me fund the next step.
Medium – Where good ideas find you. Medium is an open platform where readers find dynamic thinking, and where expert and undiscovered voices can share their writing on any topic.
We just finished conducting a short survey to the general public regarding views on health and our business mission. As you can see from this chart, almost 68% of respondents are unfamiliar with Functional Medicine. We see this as a great opportunity to continue to raise more awareness around this healthcare approach. According to the Institute for Functional Medicine, functional medicine is a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Instead of just managing symptoms and sickness, this approach gets to the root of it!
You can’t defeat what you can’t define, and you can’t define what you haven’t identified.
We’re building a business that seeks to help you improve your health from the inside out, through awareness, support, and on-going collaboration.
I can't even begin to explain how excited I am about this new and innovative approach to healthcare through functional medicine lab testing. As someone who is a chronic illness sufferer and has been to over 20+ doctors who never seem to know what's actually going on with me (lab tests always come back fine), I have had a passion for health care that looks deeper into the root cause of symptoms in order to treat what's really going on, instead of popping pills to manage the symptoms, which often brings even more problem. There is currently a 50,000+ waitlist for this lab testing membership that will include 100+ lab tests each year. 😮

Trying to get well and stay well can be a daunting task for a lot of us. The wellness industry can be so confusing and overwhelming because it’s so saturated with information and products to help; however, our health is very personal. What works for one, doesn’t for another. An overly saturated wellness market, rising costs of healthcare, decreasing healthcare staff, a fragmented system, and so many barriers to accessing affordable healthcare solutions, are all directly impacting the health of people around the world.
We believe that people should learn how to (and be supported in) taking more control of their health through education, access to coaching, and personalized health insights that focus on treating the root cause of illness and disease, instead of just treating symptoms. Prevention. Support. Affordability. Accessibility. and maybe a little fun added in!
That’s what we’re working towards.
This is very important information to take seriously. I believe there are several ways to address this and no one way is the cure all. At Ranae Wellness Company, our passion lies in the belief that preventive care through technology, functional medicine health coaching, and personalized holistic care can relieve some of the burden on healthcare professionals, allowing them to focus on patients who need their care.
We need to stop just treating symptoms and sickness and start looking at the root cause and supporting personalized behaviorial modifications in an effort to keep people healthy.
Technology can help fill in that gap for people anywhere, anytime. It’s not the only solution but it’s one that can make a huge lasting impact!
My business Ranae Wellness Company is a start-up wellness tech company focused on improving health and wellness holistically by addressing crucial priorities that together can make the world healthier.
People want to be well and that’s why the wellness market is rapidly growing.
I’ve been creating and ititerating on this business for 3 years and I’m not ready to give up now. I’ve invested too much time, money, and energy and I believe in this mission.
Please take a listen and share with anyone interested.
Thank you!
Wellness Real Estate is growing! How important are home features that promote wellness to you? A recent survey showed that 73% of participants stated wellness features that impact health will be a factor in selecting their next home.
“As wellness features become more desirable and accessible at all price points, they will increasingly become part of that standard package of features considered part of a ‘nice home,’ as opposed to niche features only seen in luxury homes. I think we’re headed in that direction in 2023,” predicts Amanda Pendleton, home trends expert for real estate platform Zillow.”
Wellness isn’t just for the wealthy anymore. We will start seeing features like indoor/outdoor living and air filtration systems in new builds in the mid-priced range more and more.
WHY is prioritizing our health and wellness so critical?
Because when we are holistically well and balanced in our lives, we have more energy, will, and motivation to give back positively to our communities. We miss less work. We are more present with the people in our lives. We are more creative. We reduce healthcare burdens and cost. We experience more financial stability, therefore benefiting from more financial freedom. We gain tools for emotional well-being to reduce stress and anxiety. We live life through a more positive worldview because we are healthy and well.
Life happens daily and our needs change often. That's why we need on-going support and wellness care to help maintain healthy habits for all seasons of life.
I’m very much looking forward to attending and being an Exhibitor representing Ranae Wellness Company at the Startup Grind Global Conference in Silicon Valley in April. 🙌🏼
The wellness market is booming. The health coaching market is booming. The functional medicine market is booming. The personalized shopping market is booming.
👉🏼 WHY? Because people are searching for personalized health and wellness answers and solutions that allow them more control over their unique needs.
Ranae Wellness Company is focused on offering a highly personalized health coaching and wellness care shopping experience. We’re designing an AI-powered app that helps you reach your unique health and wellness goals through health coaching using a functional medicine/root cause approach, education, accountability and self-awareness to help you overcome obstacles to maintain healthy habits for life!
The global wellness marketplace will help eliminate the confusion of searching for the right products in an oversaturated market by curating your in-app wellness store tailored to your ever-changing needs, preferences, and budget.
There are many incredible people and organizations globally looking for ways to help. They’re using their experience, money, connections, education, and innovative thinking to fill gaps and meet real needs.
Speaking from a chronic illness sufferer, our healthcare system is in major trouble. There is an expected shortage of 3 million essential healthcare workers in the next 5 years. The rising costs of healthcare and uncoordinated system has created a complicated public health crisis.
Instead of RWC focusing on finding ways to increase the number of workers, we’re looking at ways to decrease the burden on the workers and the system.
Through self-awareness, accountability, anticipation, direct health coaching, and on-going affordable wellness care support, we can reduce the need for hospital & multiple doctor visits. (Not talking about real emergencies of course) I truly believe this.
I want to offer ways to gain back more control over our own health and wellness, so that we can overcome the obstacles keeping us from maintaining healthy habits that create healthy outcomes in our unique lives.
We all play a role in the health and safety of our world. 🌎
A toxic or abusive work environment can negatively impact your health & wellbeing in many ways. We all need to work but when your work environment is making you sick, you need to evaluate. A bad job or boss can increase stress levels, cause depression and anxiety, impact your physical and mental health, and drain your energy. Here are a few suggestions for self-advocacy in the workplace.
One of the Functional Medicine Doctors I follow said this the other day and it really resonated. “It’s not what you remove, it’s what you add in.” It’s the new year so many, myself included, are trying to get back to healthy eating after about 6 weeks of indulging! 🥧 Instead of looking at it as having to deprive ourselves and remove everything we love to eat, how about asking what healthy options can we add in? This mindset shift may get you on the right track! So for me, I’m adding a load of veggies to my veggie brown fried rice. This is made with all clean ingredients that work for me. It was delicious and very filling! This will also make great leftovers.
This is what I’ve heard for many years and by 20+ doctors. Of course, I’m thankful to have my tests come back negative but then WHY am I so sick every day? Who can explain this to me? If you’ve lived with undiagnosed chronic pain, the frustration from having no real answers is exhausting. If you can define it, you can deal with it. I was offered a plethora of prescriptions I could go on to “manage my pain” of the unexplained illness but I never wanted to go that route. I want to know the WHY…the root cause, so I can strategically work towards eliminating it or truly managing it. We are WHOLE beings. Everything around us and about us influences our health and wellbeing. Our work environment, our home, our stress levels, our mindset, our beliefs, the food we eat, our genetics, prior injuries or sickness, and our past all play a role in our health. Our mission is to eliminate the confusion around taking control of our health through personalized accountability, awareness, and coaching.
I’m sure you’re like me and you’ve been indulging in delicious holiday treats and lounging around, and guess what, that’s ok! I enjoyed my time but my body did not. One of the most powerful and easy ways to show yourself and your body some love 💕 is to go for a walk. Even 20-30 minutes makes a difference. Go at your own pace but definitely get out there GO! If weather conditions are stopping you from walking outside, try walking around the mall, on a treadmill, or head to your nearest recreation center.
3 of these Health & Wellness Trends predicted to take off in 2023 by are also being featured in our RANAE App. Coaching, CBT, and self-care solutions.
2023 will be the year where people globally will not only be compelled to take more control over their health and wellness but will have affordable access to the resources and support needed. That’s our vision!

I'm curious how many people actually attest on an employment application that they have been diagnosed with a chronic illness or a disability. Many employers have a requirement to have at least 7% of their workforce be people with a disability, and so they ask you that when you are applying for a role at their company.
Chronic health conditions can be a disability but not always, and vice versa. As an applicant, do you fear that even though the employer says this won't impact their decision, it actually would? Do employers really not think twice about having someone with a diagnosed disability on their team? Just curious 🤔

Chronic pain costs the US up to $635 billion every year.
Health economists calculated this figure by analyzing the increasing costs of health care due to pain and the indirect costs due to lower productivity.
This is more than the annual cost of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
Lost productivity, due to chronic pain, costs the US between $299-$344 billion.
Adults suffering from chronic pain miss more days from work, impacting the amount of money they’re able to earn annually.
This was me during one of the hardest times health wise in my life. I have lived with chronic illness my whole life. Some years were better than others, but 2020 was my worst. I went in to 2020 already burned out and sick from the chronic stress of working in a high trauma- challenging nonprofit environment. I was in constant and agonizing pain throughout my whole body. I wasn’t sleeping. I was completely drained physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I was also very depressed. I left that work environment in order to focus on healing but if you look at me in this picture, you may not think I was sick. Wellness is about how you are doing on the inside not about what you look like on the outside. I rarely “looked” sick and in pain, but I felt it. I’ve been slowly working on getting better and well over the past 2 years, but this is a reminder that you can’t judge a book by its cover. Over 40% of the US population actually lives with chronic health conditions. 8 out of 10 patients with chronic pain are affected by severe depression.
Q: Why are we focused on building our care model through the functional medicine, root-cause healthcare lens?
A: There are millions of people globally who suffer from chronic illnesses, depression, skin issues, gut problems, inflammatory diseases, chronic pain, insomnia, migraines, and more. Typically, these people, myself included, are offered pain medications, and prescriptions to numb the pain, are not getting effective treatment, and/or are just left to deal with suffering alone and without answers.
Functional medicine seeks to look for the root cause of the issues. Through a collaborative relationship with a health coach and practitioner, people can begin to understand their bodies, their reactions to food, chemicals, lifestyle activities, and their cause of pain. Then with their FM doctor, can create a highly personalized treatment plan to support not only managing symptoms but healing from them altogether. This approach takes time and is not a quick fix to healing but for people who are sick of being sick, then it's the best solution.
Our vision is that whether you suffer from any of these now and want real answers, or you just want to find the support needed to achieve ongoing success with your health and wellness in general, you will find personalized care through the RANAE App.
My goal is to launch the first version by Q2 of 2023.
Thanks for the quote
This is so true! When we are healthy and doing well physically, spiritually, mentally, and financially, we have the energy and desire to contribute positively to our communities. Getting well and staying well can oftentimes feel like an uphill battle. Sometimes it comes naturally but sometimes we really have to fight to achieve our goals. It’s easier to give in when we’re feeling alone, unsupported, or confused. We all feel that way sometimes. If you’re finding yourself in a vicious cycle of healthy and unhealthy habits, remind yourself that you can make tough choices and you can do hard things. Sometimes healthy is hard but you have the power to make the right decision.
Have you ever been on health kick? I’m sure we all have. 🙋🏽♀️ We’re not feeling or looking our best, so we want to change. We want to pursue being our healthiest and best selves. We buy the gear, write out the plan, and stick to it…for about a month, then we slowly creep back in to our old habits. It’s normal and common. Our lives may change, our work situation may change, our budget and time allowance may change but what remains is our need to take care of our bodies.
That’s where RWC comes in. We’re on our way to building a platform that will know you, stay up to date with your evolving health and wellness needs, and keep you accountable so you can achieve your short and long term goals for wellness that is highly personalized and unique to you.
This is an interesting question. Jesus in the Bible asked a man this question. This man had been sick for a very long time. He would lay by this pool that whenever it stirred up, would heal the person who jumped in first.
The man replied to Jesus saying, “Sir, I have no one to help me in”.
I found this fascinating for many reasons but 2 really stood out.
1. Do we really want to be made well and live in a healthy state of being? - Do our actions align with our wants or are we too comfortable with the familiar?
2. Are we stuck or have we stopped pursuing healthy habits that contribute to overall wellness because we feel alone and don’t have the support we need to continue forward, just like this man. I believe he wanted to get well but he didn’t have the support he needed.
Has that ever been you? It has been me. 🙋🏽♀️
Why does wellness matter? I created RWC because NOT being well caused me to lose the ability to focus on a deep passion of mine, helping others heal from abuse. Sickness led to decreased ability to do the things I loved. Our wellness matters because we have special purpose in this life but when we are sick and not doing well, it’s very difficult to help others. It’s challenging to pursue dreams, support others, and accomplish our goals when we’re not balanced in all areas of our lives. My goal with RWC is to offer the support and direct coaching needed to help you begin to really learn what being well for you means and then help you stay on track to reach your goals.
For me, being well and healthy means I can be the best version of me and contribute positively to the world around me.
So, what does being well mean to you?
The American Psychological Association defines resilience as “the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or even significant sources of stress”. Life is hard and we get thrown situations that we’re not always prepared for or able to manage. You may work around people every day who’ve experienced trauma and tragedy or maybe you’ve experienced it yourself. We all do but building up and strengthening our resilience so we can bounce back from tragedy without permanent damage is possible. Consistency and intentionality are key. We can’t avoid tragedy but we can prepare our bodies, minds, and emotions to better handle it. Here are a few ways to help build up your resilience. Some of these tips were provided by Dr. Brandynicole Brooks.
