he was actually the first pattern I tried before getting into amigurumi!

Of course after seeing him, I had to make his bestie rocket, but there was not a cute pattern of him out that fit exactly the vision that I wanted.

Rocket pattern is a raccoon pattern by but I freehanded his jumpsuit and accessories to suite the classic rocket look. I actually made a jumbo version of him (swipe to see it) first before I decided to create another mini version. But the jumbo version did not translate well bcos his eyes were WAY too small, and the color changes made it look a little messy..

These two taught me a lot about amigurumi in general and they are the only two I have not given away since making them. But the main takeaway is to NOT use the yarns that I used on them to save rug burn on my fingers

I kept singing Maria Maria by Santana while creating .la’s Maria. Heard Wonder was lonely these days so I had to make her a friend!

Was a lot of fun figuring out her hair which I would jokingly call her wig to Joe while making it, swipe to see why 😂 I changed her stuffing 2x (total of three stuffings) cause her wig was too heavy for her head and she would just topple over.. But soo glad it worked out how I had hoped

I used the same base as I did for Wonder, but gave her boots, changed up her color scheme, added a bow, and of course changed her hair. Can’t wait for her and Wonder to meet each other!

A crochet version of Wonder as a gift for my dear sweet friends .la!

Ever since I saw this character, I always wanted to crochet a doll version but wasn’t really sure about how to put it together, and if I could translate her essence well into a crochet doll. She ended up being my favorite project this year, I could not stop admiring her after I put her on her little doll stand. I’m very grateful I got to gift her to her original creators! I had this pattern for awhile but could not figure out how to switch colors without stitches leaning too far to the side. Then I realized my stitches weren’t tight enough with the right crochet hook. Really happy with how he turned out! He ended up being 8 inches tall with a 5mm crochet hook
