A Story

My approach is pretty simple and reflects aspects of my own life experiences, work and training. I’ve experienced plenty of personal traumas, addictions and difficult relationships and I recognize the damaging impacts I have on myself and others when I’m not fully aware of my overall holistic health (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, social, cultural) and when I’m not being responsible for my everyday actions. I’ve been gifted incredible teachings from multiple people, programs and the land (animals, plants, environment) and I continue to experience ongoing transformations throughout the seasons as I learn, unlearn and grow. My purpose is to pass these on to you. Inspiration, motivation and action to transform old negative ways of thinking and being come from our everyday Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual life. I prefer to connect with what’s really happening and recognize how our old stories hold us prisoner. And I’m tired of the robotic prisoner inside of me that drudges along with the rest of the robots out there listening and reacting to the same old bummer story we tell ourselves. Of course, my robotic prisoner is living in a large culture and society that seems to focus heavily on negativity, so I recognize there is a lot of work for us to do collectively. It’s time to reawaken and activate the true self through exploring your values, truth, fears, love and goals and get back on the path... engaging in discussions and actions together!
You can’t put your foot in the same river twice, and you’re never the same person (Heraclitus). Self-awareness is crucial in actualizing your full potential and building healthy relationships. Get to know yourself, your culture, values, beliefs and behaviors and the cultures you live and work in. It is essential to know the people and environment around you. Chief Dan George once said, “If you talk to the animals, they will talk with you and you will know each other. If you do not talk to them you will not know them, and what you do not know you will fear. What one fears one destroys.” This can also be experienced in everyday human relationships.
