Based in Portumna, County Galway, Ireland, pMad emerges as the brainchild of musician Paul Dillon, crafting a singular sonic identity within the realms of Post-Punk and Gothic Indie Rock. Drawing inspiration from iconic acts such as The The, The Cure, Killing Joke:, Echo and the Bunnymen, Rammstein, and Depeche Mode, pMad skillfully amalgamates these influences into an eclectic fusion of Gothic, Post-Punk, and Indie Rock aesthetics.
Since its inception in 2021, this project has rapidly ascended to prominence, achieving notable milestones along the way. With singles that have soared to the top of independent charts worldwide, pMad's music has garnered widespread acclaim and earned significant airplay on various radio stations. Notable releases include the albums 'Who Why Where What' (2022) and 'I in Power' (2024), and is now firmly established as a burgeoning force within the music industry.
Paul's presence extends beyond the studio, having been featured on esteemed platforms such as national radio stations RTE and 2XM in Ireland, as well as receiving recognition from IMRO and Hot Press Magazine. Additionally, his influence spans across international borders, with features in prominent publications like Rock Hard Italy, Decibel Magazine, and Metalheads Forever, accompanied by global airplay.
And that brings me nicely to the single in question here – “Opinion.”
The single, propelled by introspective lyricism, navigates the complexities of self-awareness and existential questioning. "Lie on the left, lie on the right," a recurring motif, underscores the duality of human nature. Amidst expressions of uncertainty and longing, the artist reflects on the pursuit of identity and purpose. With a haunting melody and evocative vocals, the track invites listeners into a reflective journey, challenging societal norms and embracing individuality, and is an anthem for those navigating the labyrinth of self-discovery.

Our forthcoming release features the voice and words of legendary Irish actor and writer Ben Keaton.
A fan of Lunar Paths, Ben suggested the idea of a collaboration, and so we asked him to send us something that he had created. He obliged, and sent us a recording of his poem, New, with the generous instruction that we could do with it as we pleased.
We added some triphoppy, shoegazey sounds, and the result is a tender, honest and moving song, ideal for shattering and reassembling a broken heart—perfect for all of you wistful darkwave Valentines out there.
Scheduled for release on February 10th, with a full length video! Keep your eyes peeled for more teasers heading your way this week.
