Our Advisor, Mrs. Dixon
Here by the owl! I have a passion for sharing my love for agriculture. My goal is to provide a space where students can explore their agricultural interests and learn lifelong skills. FFA has something to offer everyone be it leadership opportunities, travel, competitions, community service, relationships and or work skills. I am excited to see what our chapter will accomplish this school and encourage our youth to get involved. Our community and VCS family has been very supportive of our program. Agriculture has an impact on everyone, everyday. Let's make the best of our theme "Old Traditions, New opportunities"
Meet Peyton, Our reporter!
I joined FFA my freshman year because I enjoy being outside and learning about agriculture. FFA has introduced me to many more things than I imagined including welding, electrical wiring, and animal handling. It’s great to hang out with friends who enjoy the same things that I do. The field trips are lots of fun, but they also offer opportunities to grow in the future as an FFA officer. I would encourage any who is remotely interested in wildlife, outdoors, animals, shooting sports, or anything associated with agriculture to join FFA. The opportunities are numerous, not only while in high school, but also as you move onto college or a job. Outside of FFA, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and shooting competitively.
Meet Trey, our Sentinel!
My name is Trey and I joined FFA because of I love to be outside. I enjoy to be around agriculture and I like to do hands on activities. I like to hunt, fish, cut grass, and work! I love being in FFA because I can not only learn new things but I can help teach others as well.
Meet Elizabeth our Vice President,
I joined FFA my freshman year and became a officer that same week and I had no idea what FFA was till I got to high school and got out in a ag class and I’m glad I did. This organization has opened so many great opportunities for me I have gotten to travel to serval places and have made many friends who I still talk to. This is my 3rd year in FFA and serving as a officer and seeing how much we grow and become better each year is crazy! I encourage students to try it even just once I promise there is something for everyone in FFA and gives you so many options and opens a lot of doors for you. I’m beyond excited for this school year, we have so many great things planned for y’all!
Meet Miranda our President,
If I'm going to be honest, I initially joined FFA because I heard about the field trips. But, the reason I stayed in FFA means alot more than just being able to skip school. When I joined I knew nothing about agriculture or leadership, but it was the officers of my chapter that helped to spark my new passion. Because of FFA I have learned what it means to be a leader and what it takes to be one. Now, I want to be able to cultivate the future leaders of our community by giving them an opportunity to follow their passion as well!
Meet Peyton, she is our Secretary!
3 things I like are riding horses, playing golf, and reading.
I like ffa because it gives me a chance to teach others about agriculture and leadership through fun activities and trips.
The reason I chose to do ffa was to be able to participate in the leadership opportunities ffa provides. I also joined to learn just how much agriculture benefits our community.
Meet Katelin, our Treasurer!
My name is Katelin and the reason I joined FFA is because of the friendships I had that were connected to it! Now that I have been very involved in FFA I know that it’s so much more than a field trip to get out of class with my friends! I have learned that FFA is a lifestyle, and nobody would be able to do everyday life things without Agriculture. It all comes down to what it took to make the items we use in everyday life! FFA is truly a life changing chapter that I think people should take the time to really learn what it is!My favorite thing about FFA is the way we learn things! Yes we learn the book but we mainly learn by doing hands on activities, and this is the way I learn best. FFA is about leadership and what it takes to get things accomplished,it’s about meeting new people and learning new things! I encourage you all to go out and join a school club wether it’s FFA or not! BE ACTIVE IN YOUR SCHOOL.
