Information not promotion is the way to WIN customers is the big idea in this book and I think it makes perfect sense!!!
In the noisy world of social media people look to their friends for recommendations.
When their friends can't give them relevant information on certain products or services, they turn to groups that they are in or to influencers in that particular industry.
So how do we become that person in our industry? The go to person!!!
By giving value to our audience regardless if they buy or not and regardless if they buy from us or from somebody else!
When a person gets value from you, they will start to like and respect you and that my friend is the start of a good relationship!
It may not result in a sale but 1 thing is for sure, most people only buy from people they know, like and trust!
"Any advice for generating leads for a new agent? Preferably something that won't break the bank."
Somebody asked this question inside a facebook group for real estate agents and it generated a lot of answers from both experienced and new agents.
Here’s the answers that stood out:
1. Buy Leads that are pre vetted by ISAs and save time.
2. Utilize your sphere of influence and also get referrals from them.
3. Don’t change the wheel, stick to what has worked before like cold calling, door knocking, sending mailers, open houses, talking to people and etc.
4. Get a copy of my pdf that teaches ways to find business.
And here’s my thoughts on their answers:
1. A lot of brokers have call centers to pre qualify the leads thus you will get good quality leads but these are shared leads and you will have to compete with other agents and they can be expensive. It would be better to generate your own leads.
2. Yes we should never underestimate the leads we can get out of our sphere of influence and we must utilize it but we must also tap outside our sphere which can give us unlimited leads.
3. We don’t need to stay away from traditional techniques but we must be open to new techniques that are working better right now.
4. Learning from an expert will eliminate trial and error and will give you faster results but make sure that expert has done it and not just talking about theories that may work.

I believe that progress is better than perfect and I'm so glad that my colleagues have learned something new from me.

I don't know why I was so nervous with this particular call.
maybe because the prospect have all the assets I need to run a successful campaign and I don't want anything to go wrong
maybe because I want this account so bad
Or maybe after so many setbacks, I have started to doubt myself
I don't really know and
I still went ahead with the call anyway
so to boost my confidence, I have my script ready just in case I need it.
It turned out well and I didn't need the script after all!!!
So even if you're scared or nervous or unsure just remember why you're doing it and just do it anyway.
What's important is you're doing what needs to be done and when you do it often enough,
You'll finanlly get what you want!!
