I've taken the decision to close the orderbook for Cake Me Home after a year of trading. I started this little venture after I made some brownies and someone said 'sell them'. 2 months later I'd registered, got insurance and weekly treat boxes were flying out of my kitchen. I couldn't believe it!

After a year In lockdown and missing so many family moments, celebrations and my other hobbies which had to stop, I've decided now is the right time to pause my little bakery and focus on all the important things in life.

Cake Me Home is just me, one person, I do all the admin, social media, checking and buying ingredients, all the baking and soooo much washing up!!

Please excuse the essay 😂but after a year of support from you all, I thought you deserved an explanation of why my little bakes are no longer available to order 🥺

I hope to be back in a couple of months (no promises). I'll still be sharing pics of all the bakes I've done and orders to come, so you'll still see me on your feed! 🧁

I was so happy to be asked to make this wedding cake which was a surprise for the bride and groom 😍

It's a classic vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam 😋

I really enjoyed making this one, and I was so pleased with how it turned out! It made it all the way to Luton for the big day 🥰

I've had a lovely break throughout January and I can't wait to get baking again 😍
