Struggle with staying hydrated? Try out these drink options if water just isn't doing the trick for you.
Infused water- add your favorite fruits and herbs to make your water delicious and refreshing. Some of my fav combos are cucumber and mint, lemon and thyme, or lime and strawberries.
Homemade juices- a great way to keep hydrated, incorporate nutrients, and curb your sweet cravings with natural sugar.
Water tabs- if you aren't a fan of the taste of water, they have healthy hydration flavor tablets available. Just pay attention to the ingredients in the brand you buy (many have added chemicals and sugars).
Tea- a wonderful way to keep your hydration levels up while many teas are known to help fight disease, curb appetite, lower cholesterol and enhance mental alternes.
Coconut water- a beautiful source of nutrients, antioxidants, and hydration!
Healthy Healing Juices đ
Food is medicine. Juicing helps with a greater consitration of nutrients and your body absorbs them more quickly. It's also an option for folks who struggle eating their veggies!
Try these options if you are battling:
Colds
Depression
Headaches
Diabetes
Ulcers
Asthma
High Blood Pressure
Arthritis
Kidney Problems
If you aren't a fan of the raw taste of juice add maple syrup or honey to sweeten it up!
Humans enjoy simplicity, especially when it comes to what they are going to eat.
We don't like to think about it too much. We enjoy the options to grab and snack or grab and go.
That being said, we will be more likely to change our eating habits if we make healtier options more accessible.
This is the reason fast food is so popular.
If we made our healthy food as accessible as they make our chemical enduced food our medical bills would plumit.

Meal prepping saves us time, money and brain power.
You save time doing dishes.
You save brain power by not having to think about your meals daily.
You save money by not eating out.
You save your health by providing it nutritional options instead of processed foods.
A few steps you can take to simplify the prepping process:
1. Plan ahead- make your meal plan ahead of time.
2. Create a grocery list- once the meals are planned out make a list to use at the store.
3. Reusable ingredients- make the shopping less expensive and pick multiple dishes that you can use the same ingredients in.
4. Find some no-cook breakfast and lunch options to save time.
5. Pick a prep day that week- set aside a day that you'll have an hour or so to prepare.
6. Shop for your entire list in one day- this will help you feel organized and know that you have all the ingredients you need to cook. Since you are cooking them soon, they won't go bad.
7. Reheat meals- make enough that you can reheat it throughout the week. Even items that you can freeze and reuse at the end of the week.

"The most selfish thing you can do in this world is help someone else. Cause that's where the joy is". - Denzel Washington
Why is giving good for your health?
Lowers blood pressure
Increases self-esteem
Lessens depression
Lowers stress levels
"Helpers High" - increases overall happiness in your life
Isn't that crazy to think about? If we help other people, we are helping ourselves. It is the most selfish/selfless way to stay healthy and happy.
Who have you helped recently? Share the story below and tag someone who has helped you.
If you need help yourself, feel free to send me a message today. I am here for you, and I love youâ¤.
You find it hard to be well if you don't prioritize the wellness of others.
As we sit and contemplate our "purpose", what success we will obtain, and how we intend on doing it, let's not forget to ask who/how we intent on helping along the way.
You will find the richest people with the poorest attitude.
The most successful people with extreme insecurities.
The ones who "have it all" that feel so empty.
We see things on social media, newsletters, and T.V. about all these super successful people. We look at the screen and say, "that's what I want". Once we've obtained this money, power, success, beauty, and fame, who are we now? What difference did we make? Who did we lift along the way? What have we given back?
As a society we are missing the mark on what life is truly about. It isn't about selfish ambition, that road leads us nowhere fast. It isn't about how we look because those looks will soon fade. It isn't about what job we can tell others we have, because that job doesn't define us. It isn't about how much money we have because that money we can't take with us.
It is about the souls we've ignited along the way. About using our struggles as a testimony to help others who go through them too. It's about obtaining money, so that we can provide for those who aren't fortunate enough to have any. It's about having a beautiful character because that's the mark we leave behind after we're gone.
Here's your reminder to give back today. Give back to your community, to mother earth, to the animals, to those who don't have what you do. If you have nothing to give but yourself, then give back wise words, an open ear, or a lovely smile to someone in need. There are a million ways to give back today, don't forget to take advantage of them.

There has been a major decline in employee availability and retention in the United States over the past year.
A few reasons why:
Poor work life balance
Low pay
Negative work relationship
Wellness programs can improve 2 of the 3 reasons you are unable to hire and keep employees this year.
1. Poor work life balance- Wellness programs help employees better manage their time inside and outside of the workplace. If you are encouraging them and giving them the tools to practice self-care they are better capable of handling the stressors that come their way. Mindfulness practices will help alleviate stress, provide better sleeping patterns and make your employees more self aware.
2. Negative work relationships- When providing wellness tools in the workplace you are teaching your employees how to show up as their best selves daily. This includes how they show up for other people. They will be more aware of how they are treating others. Incorporating team programs will help build a bond between co-workers and allow them to better understand one another's struggles.
If you are running or working for a place that struggles to hire and maintain good employees, considering incorporating wellness programs is a must.

â¨Prioritizing Employee Wellnessâ¨
The way an employee shows up for themself outside of the workplace will reflect the way they show up for you inside the workplace.
If your employees practice healthy habits in during their offtime they will implement them on the clock as well. This increases productivity, creativity and positive attitudes.
Implementing workplace wellness programs, fitness incentive programs, providing affordable access to nutritionists and counselors will all impact the overall morale of your team.
One of the major problems employers have with wellness programs are the participation rates of their team.
A few ways to help your team get excited about wellness programs:
1. Offer wellness options during work hours. Allow them to get paid for incorporating these wellness routines daily.
2. Make accountability groups. Create group chats where everyone can update on their progress and struggles to make it uplifting and a team effort.
3. Create wellness challenges. Have each employee set their own goals and track their progress along the way. This is the kind of positive reinforcement we all need.
4. Incentive programs. Provide something in return for the work they are doing on themselves. We all like to get a treat and pat on the back for our hard work and dedication.
Share this with your fellow co-workers if there's room for improvement in your work atmosphere.

Wellness programs that work in the workplace:
Collaborative workspace- Creates unity and fosters teamwork/creativity. Break from usual workspace. Optional not forced.
Community involvement- Pay employees to do community work. Allow your employees to choose a program that resonates with them and spend a day giving back to the community on the companies dime.
Parenting support- Provide employees access to coaching and counseling for parents that need the extra help.
Fitness/ Yoga/Meditation- Allow for a safe space within the workplace that encourages yoga classes, breathwork, sound healing and meditation options for when employees feel stressed to relieve tension. Set up classes and allow for this to be something they do on the clock.
Motivational Speaking- Sharing motivational videos during meeting, hiring a speaker,or creating motivational book clubs to keep up the morale of the workplace.
Competitions: Create new wellness competitions monthly for the team. Make accountability groups to keep oneanother in line. This will help with employee bonding and teamwork.
Share this with someone who is struggling to foster a healthy work environment, having a hard time hiring or having a high turnover in their workplace.

⤠Love Others â¤
True love ignites our souls.
It makes struggles easier to endure.
It's a smiling face at the end of a long day.
Words of inspiration when you feel like throwing in the towel.
Someone making you laugh while tears are streaming down your face.
Subtle comforting looks.
A warm embrace when you need it the most.
Small gestures to remind you that you matter.
Love is about putting others before yourself. Giving selflessly and willingly without expectations. Acceptance of others in all their forms. Being conscious of how your actions and words make others feel.
True love is regarding others as more important than oneself.
True love is available to everyone and takes many different forms. From family, friends, strangers, coworkers, and partners.
We are all capable of truly loving others and deserving of receiving true love back!
Happy Valentineâs Day to you! Get out there and share your love with everyone that crosses your path.
⤠Self Love â¤
To love others, you must first learn to love yourself.
Self-love is something I have personal struggled with most of my life.
It is one of the more complicated loves.
Many of us suffer from feelings of unworthiness, guilt, condemnation, and self-destruction. It is important when those feelings surface to provide yourself with the grace and forgiveness that you would give others. You're deserving of love in all forms.
Small ways you can practice self-love this weekend:
1. Wrap your arms around yourself and say, "I love you"!
2. Do your favorite exercise and thank your body afterwards.
3. Look in the mirror and recite 5 things you love about yourself.
4. Write down 5 accomplishments you're proud of.
5. Do something that brings you joy (sing out loud, dance around, bubble bath, read or whatever it may be).
Here's your reminder that you are loved this weekend regardless of your romantic situation. You deserve that love, and it is unconditional!
â¤Love Postâ¤
As we celebrate this weekend, let's not forget the greatest love of all.... God's love!
This love flows through all of us. A love deeper than anything we could imagine.
Love with forgiveness, grace, mercy and understanding.
There is no one unworthy of this love.
We are capable of taping into this unconditional love source that resides within and around us at all times.
Remember you are loved deeply, regardless of your romantic situation!
âBut be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."- James 1:22
Intentions and thoughts impact the direction of your life, but itâs the actions you perform daily that make a real difference.

What deeds are you performing for others?
Even the smallest deed makes a world of a difference.
Get out there are start putting those intentions into action today!
Our life is filtered through our own lens.
What lens are you looking through today?
We donât have control over every situation that happens to us, but we do have control over how we view those situations.
Are we taking our struggles and making them our strengths?
Turning our worrying into worshiping?
Replacing our fears with having faith?
Making our troubles our triumphs?
Life isnât always easy, but it is always providing opportunities to get better.
Whatâs your perspective around your own life? Are there ways you can alter it, so that you can alter your experience during your short time here?
If covid can transform, so can we!

Daily Reminder âď¸
You aren't meant to do life alone. Allow people in, and trust your judgement. Know that ever incounter can be a lesson and a blessing.
God is always with you. If you feel like you're alone in this world, remember God is in you and around you. You are not alone by any means. You have the strength to get through any trials or tribulations that life throws at you.
If you are struggling and need someone to talk to, please feel free to reach out. I am always here for you as well â¤ď¸.
Daily Reminder âď¸
You can have an identity outside of substance abuse.
I used to revolve a majority of my life around partying and drinking. I was worried I would lose my sense of humor and personality if I stopped living that lifestyle. To be honest I didnât have much of an identity outside of that. Itâs a scary thought and one that a lot of us have.
A few things that helped me along the journey:
1. Rely on God to guide you. You can't do it all alone, certainly not this aspect. When you are weak or fall back into your old ways God provides grace and understanding. Get back up the next day and stand strong!
2. Finding other hobbies. Explore things that excite you and do those instead. Boxing, comedy shows, dancing, writing, carving, photography or whatever it may be. As you begin to explore new, healthy hobbies you'll find theyâre much more fun and rewarding.
2. Surround yourself with likeminded people. As much as we love our drinking buddies, this part is very important. Find people who you can engage in other activities and conversations with. If you are only surrounded by people who party, you are likely to follow suit.
3. Write a list of things youâve always wanted to do or trips you've always wanted to take. Stash away the money once spent on going out and save it to do those things instead. The financial aspect becomes a huge motivator.
4. Make gratitude lists. Remind yourself of what you are thankful for when you're sober. Not waking up sick, being present during conversations, productivity etc.
5. Do something spontaneous. When you get that urge to grab a drink go do something random and exciting. Go on a spontaneous road trip, schedule a spa day, go for a dip in the water, or do something that makes you feel like your unaltered is plenty exciting!
Everyone copes in different ways. These few things were super helpful for me when I started shifting my lifestyle. I hope they are helpful for you too!

Daily Reminder âď¸
You can get everything done and still find time to be healthy. The best way to do that is incorporate wellness habits in your already busy schedule. This takes a bit of finessing but is totally attainable for all of us.
Show me your 24 hours and I will show you where you have time! The first basic step is writing down what you are spending your time on. This will give you a clear picture of what you are prioritizing and where you can adjust.
You can put health on the schedule, and it doesn't have to be overwhelming!
â¨5 Ways to Spiritually Rechargeâ¨
1. Affirmations. Write a list in the present tense: I am and affirm who you want to be. Recite that list to yourself throughout the day.
2. Write a gratitude list of 5 things you are thankful for when you wake up in the morning.
3. Prayer: Pray and ask for the things that weigh on your heart. Release anything that no longer serves you to God and move forward with a lightened load.
4. Meditate in silence with yourself, or put on a guided meditation. Pay attention to the thoughts that come up, allow them to pass and do not cling to any of them.
5. Spend time in nature, connect with earth. Find appreciation for the magical land and animals around you.
đŞ5 Benefits of ExerciseđŞ
1. Exercise produces feel good neurotransmitters that allow us to cope with stressful situations better when they arise.
2. Improves sleep by helping us fall asleep faster and deeper.
3. Is a keystone habit. Once itâs incorporated daily has proven to positively influence your discipline and self control in other areas of your life.
4. Releases endorphins which provide natural spurts of energy to our brains and bodies.
5. Provides personal confidence which increases confidence in other aspects of life such as social, business, family etc.
đĽ 5 Foods to Help fight Depression đĽ
1. Chia seeds: High in fiber, complex carbs and omega-3 that are all good for the brain. Throw them in your morning yogurt, a smoothie or on a salad.
2. Tomatoes- Have tons of folic acid. Many of us who suffer depression have folate deficiencies. Eat in salad, blister on the stove, or add it to a salad.
3. Leafy greens- Kale, spinach and chard all contain anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer properties. Can be accompanied with almost any dish or eaten raw in shakes, salads & juices.
4. Avocado- Filled with the good fats our brain requires to thrive. Add some to toast, on salad, with brown rice or in a protein shake.
5. Berries- Extremely high in antioxidants that replenish cells and fight diseases. Good in shakes, yogurt, salad and sauces.
How long does it take to create a habit?
Previous studies have shown that it takes 21 days to create a habit. Recent studies have proven that although you can make a habit in 21 days it takes about 70 days to make that habit automatic.
Due to how intrinsically different we are, this may vary from person to person.
My advice is to be patient with yourself. Long term results take time, consistency, self control and guidance. You will notice results if you stay the course.
Are you ready to make your healthy habits automatic?
Letâs review the habit cycle that is talked about in âThe Power of Habitâ.
Our habits are formed around cues, routines, and rewards.
The cue is what triggers the habit.
The routine is the habit we are trying to improve.
The reward is gratification that comes from the routine.
Our first step is being aware of these cycles. If we can identify our cycle we can replace our routine, which makes the habit more likely to stick.
It seems simple but often takes much time and research to identify exactly why we are doing things and the root of our habits.
Do you need help identifying your habit cycles and figuring out how to transform your unhealthy habits? I am happy to help! Set up a consultation on our website today (link in the bio).
What are your daily habits?
Put simply, habits are the small decisions we make. The conscious and unconscious things we do daily.
Most of our habits have been instilled in us, so we don't require much decision making power to implement them.
We've picked up many unhealthy habits along the way, without much guidance on how to transform them into healthy ones.
Are you consciously implementing healthy habits daily?
Transform your habits and you transform your life.
DM me today to discuss how we can implement healthy, lasting habits!
đżClient Story:
Meet Sabrina. We met up for coffee during the pandemic and she expressed how low she felt. We chatted only for a bit about the new healthy habits I was implementing and how they improved my mindset. After leaving the conversation, Sabrina committed to self discipline and incorporated these habits into her daily routine. Together we would exercise, share devotionals, and meditate, creating a new healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for her. Today, Sabrina maintains a weight loss of 20lbs. She uses running and strength training as a part of her daily routine. More importantly she thinks and feels confidently about herself and how she shows up for others. Her healthy journey inspired and motivated those around her.

Why do we work for others dreams more than our own?
A common phrase we use is âI donât have timeâ. If we donât prioritize time for our personal growth we will remain stagnant.
Personal development is hard, emotional and painful at times. It forces us to dig deep and get to the root of things. It pushes us out of our comfort zone into unknown territories of ourselves. It makes us ask hard questions like:
What do I want?
What am I good at?
Who do I want to be?
What is holding me back?
How can I serve?
I encourage us all to make time for personal development today. To focus on our dreams, gifts and the impact we hope to make. To grow and develop into the people we want to be! We donât know how much time we have, so letâs prioritize the time we have right now.
â¨We all have 10 minutesâ¨
Incorporating 10 minutes of meditation daily can:
Relieve stress
Reduce aging
Improve brain function
Increase creative flow
Implement gratitude
Help your metabolism and immune system
These 10 minutes make a difference in who we show up as throughout the day.
Meditation provides opportunity to:
Be still and listen
Receive answers
Connect with ourselves, God and the universe
Recenter and realign
Set intentions
Practice mindfulness
Be a watcher of our thoughts and emotions
Empty yourself and let the universe fill youâ¨
Mindfulness â¨
Mindfulness is practicing awareness of our thoughts, emotions and feelings without judgement.
A few ways we can practice mindfulness daily:
Meditation- there are many different forms of meditations. We can focus on a specific object, stillness and silence meditations, or the easiest for beginners is guided meditations.
Journaling- writing down what happened throughout the day, our creative ideas, dreams, goals and so much more. Journaling is a great way to connect with yourself on a deeper level.
Focused breathing- there are many different breathing techniques. Start by simply bringing your attention to your breath throughout the day.
Think before responding- impulsive reaction can cause guilt and regret. Practicing filtering our thoughts and emotions before reacting in difficult situations can be very helpful.
Watching our thoughts- being able to disconnect from our wandering thoughts and pay attention from an outsider perspective. Our ego conscious mind is not in control of us and the ability to recognize itâs ever chattering self is a huge step in self awareness!
