Here’s both a kid’s cushion and a soft throwing toy. It’s so simple to make: 2 identically cut pieces of felt fabric stitched together and lightly stuffed with polyester filling fibre. Template in my book.
Full of great ideas for both children and adults. 2 years since publication, still going strong.
A fun addition to a child’s homework space: 1) stack three parcel tape waste cores, tape together, cover in brown paper 2) cut pencil shapes from sticky-back foam sheets. Tip: if you have several colours, arrange the pencils in a rainbow-like blend for a good effect.
Brilliant accessories to brighten up the return to school. Personalise a notebook by sticking two elephants on the cover. They’re cut from a discarded Amazon envelope and covered in strips of washi tape. The pencil has a large bead glued on top with a fuzzy pipe cleaner for ears. Tip: instead of drawing a rabbit face on the pencil topper, you could just stick on two googly eyes.
This is my first book, which came out in 2019. It contains craft projects for adults and children to be creative together. Equally, it can be used by anyone who wants to make cool stuff for kids. I loved thinking up the ideas and trying them out.
