The Office of Social Justice and Inclusion is seeking a student to join their team of professionals. The OSJI Ambassadors will be an integral part of the Office of Social Justice and Inclusion OSJI Ambassadors are responsible for leading group discussions, presenting educational sessions, supporting the OSJI signature events and exemplifying the qualities of leadership and advocacy.

Desired Qualifications
Completed at least 12 credit hours at FIU as of the end of the Fall semester
Be in good academic and judicial standing with the university
Possess a minimum FIU cumulative GPA of 275 at time of application
Maintain full-time status throughout the entire experience (excluding Summer)
Have a clear judicial record without any pending conduct cases or inquiries
Be passionate about social justice and advocacy work

This upcoming Spring semester will mark the start of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) student-led organization for undergraduate students. The mission of the ACLU of Florida is to protect, defend, strengthen, and promote the constitutional rights and liberties of all people in Florida. The ACLU is a non-partisan organization, meaning it is neither left nor right-leaning. We encourage all voices to join and advocate for social and legislative change! We are searching for members as well as possible executive board members. If you are interested in either role, please email us at [email protected].

The HAKA Māori Cultural Experience, a traditional Māori cultural troupe from the Tainui Waka region in the Central North Island of Aotearoa (New Zealand), will be at the FIU MMC Campus – Graham Center Pit on Wed. Nov. 1, with a display and cultural workshops at 10 a.m. and a performance at 11 a.m. The event is presented by the FIU Global Indigenous Forum.
