I recently donated a stash of book to the Little library at Gunderson in Lacrosse. After visiting multiple times with my kids, We noticed they had no books for littles in the library outside the main library. We hope these will bring smiles to faces as people are visiting or staying at the hospital.

Friends I need help getting books in the hands of Iowa Youth!!

With PaperPie this month I am able to get my hands on 56 of our titles for just $1 each. Same quality books for just $1. I have 2 great locations currently in need of books.

1. 📚Shepherd of the Hills Christmas Store📚 is starting to stock up they served 536 kids last season and would love to make sure every kids walks away with multiple books this year.
2. 📚Residents of the recent Spencer Floods! 📚Help me rebuild libraries in homes and across the community of Spencer. Some may know the devastations this town has seen and so many have lost everything. I hope that these books can provide them comfort in their times of despair.

Have you ever tried oysters?

I’ve always imagined they would be slimy and I don’t know just not good. So I couldn’t bring myself to try raw oysters, but we did try these cooked oysters with spinach, artichoke and bacon and cheese. Needless to say they were delicious and I would definitely have them again. We went to an oyster bar downtown , and this was probably my favorite appetizer of the trip.

Who has a car book and if you do what are you currently reading?

As I wait for football to finish up I’m working on a little reading. This is my car book. It’s been in here for a while but I always like to have something in here for the few times that I’m sitting quietly. Showing my kids that I’m reading while I’m waiting is way better than playing on my phone. Showing the the joy I get from reading is important. I want them to read because they like it not because they have too. Setting the example for them is important to me.
