Hello and happy 1st of July! 🎊 It’s officially the start of the second half of 2024. I’ve had this page for over one year and haven’t formally introduced myself, so hi! I’m Mainya (pronounced Mai-nyaj), the face and photographer behind Memories Made with Mainya.

A few quick facts about me:
✨ I am 24 years young.
✨ I’m originally Hmong green 💚 although I speak Hmong white at home.
✨ I’m a mama to two cuties 👧👧 + wife to my sweet husband, Thai, who’s my biggest supporter.

And a few fun facts about me:
✨ I love the outdoors! Whether that's going on walks with my babies, going fishing with my husband, hiking, you name it! I have yet to explore everything the outdoors has to offer and I'm looking forward to my next adventure.
✨ I love arts and crafts! This includes bullet journaling, scrapbooking, sewing, and more! The amount of stickers and pens I have is absurd, but necessary (at least that's what I tell myself!) 😆
✨ Baking is my love language. Okay, not really but I am a baker at heart. Brownies and fruit-filled sponge cakes with whipped frosting are my weakness. I have a major sweet tooth!

For the past few months, my family has been my main focus, but I’m ready to jump back into photographing your special moments for you. With that being said, I want to continue to challenge myself in photography. I've been focusing on lifestyle and portrait photography and would like to expand my portfolio into maternity, family, couples, engagements, special announcements, and eventually weddings.

I had the pleasure of doing a bestie session with these two and it was all laughs. We were at the park for almost two hours but it honestly went by so quick! Side note -- I'm still working on my style. Since I've only started taking photography seriously in the past few months, I'm learning a lot with each session. I plan to take the rest of the year to solidify the type of photography and style I want to continue with. Everything so far has been exciting and fun! Thank you, everyone ❤

OUT OF OFFICE

Hi all! A couple of updates on me: I will be on vacation from May 16th - May 22nd. This means all galleries will be put on hold and I will not be responding to any emails or messages during this time. I will be back to capture your special moments and memories soon!

On another note, I have been inactive all month because I have been working tirelessly to get galleries out to clients (and spending more time with family). I may have overbooked myself a bit 😅 This month has truly shown me my strengths and weaknesses which was a learning experience for sure. Nonetheless, when I get back I have so much content to share!

Lastly, my page is almost at 100 likes already! Thank you all so much for your love and support. I am planning a giveaway for that milestone so stay tuned! That's all for now. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I had such a wonderful time photographing my sister-in-law Candie and her boyfriend PJ. One my favorite sessions to date, for sure! We thought we got to our location too late and missed the sun, but it ended up working out for us. There were so many great shots to choose from. Here are a handful of favorites! 🤍
