Handmade books just hit different. 📚
Seeing the bones of a book is truly interesting. 📖📚
And my next book arts project is complete! 📚 I’m quickly discovering that I enjoy crafting hardback books.
Here’s a sneak peak of my next book arts project! 👀
I find joy in book arts 📚 even though the design process takes too many hours.
I can now say I’m a book artist! 📚 Handcrafting hardback books, even the tiny ones, is so much fun.
Art can bring you inspiration in surprising ways. 🖼️
Last year I took a trip to the Baltimore Museum of Art and sketched notes from sculptures and paintings that stood out to me. ✍️ A few months later, those notes blossomed into literature and narratives. 📖
Castle dreams 🏰 with crowds of people. Disney is a magical place of fun, but a striking place for creativity inspiration!
Have you ever stopped to observe and listen to those around you? How can you create a story from strange moments? 📖
This summer came with a cozy literary surprise! 📚
While visiting the Chesapeake Bay, I came across this adorable bookshop with wall to ceiling shelves and a vintage cash register. All books are previously owned and have a history.
I didn’t know it at the time, but the book I chose to take home is signed by the author! ✍️ This book has memories and now I’m making my own as I read it this summer.
Baltimore late nights are full of wonders. 🌙 Have you ever stopped to listen when the world asleep?
I find the little noise of a city in somber is great for getting creative and writing something new, but that could just be the insomnia talking. ✍️
How you ever wondered how you learn the craft of creative writing? ✍️
I shared my experience with the magazine Canvas Rebel. This featured interview is available to read online 📖 https://canvasrebel.com/meet-diana-elizabeth-clarke/
I recently was inspired my music and filmed my creative procress and story crafting. 📚✍️ You can watch it on Instagram Reels and TikTok!

Weather Writing Inspiration Wednesday! ☁️ Where do you get your inspiration from?
✍️ Smoke filled the sky in a fireless forest, with glowing embers burning the trees to black. But deep within the charred leaves was a hidden magic, only to be seen underneath the soon-to-be shining moonlight.
I had the pleasure to be a documentarian for Welter Literary Journal alongside my classmate Ashlyn Mason.
The documentary is available for viewing on Welter Online.

I would say my first attempt at human realism art was a success! 🖼️ FUN FACT: This piece shares a name with one of my flash fiction pieces.

Is this tree a hand, paint brush, or feather?
✍️
I discovered this tree during a walk in Nashville last winter. You never know when writing inspiration will strike!
Baltimore weather brings some great writing inspiration ✍️☁️
What have you written today? Here’s mine:
Row houses stood tall—each a color of its own—while a explosion of blue, grey, and white floated above the homes’ heads. “Swallow me whole,” the sky sang and so the clouds obeyed.
From journal art to published fiction: 📖 Read “Flight of the Leaf” in WWPH Writes Issue 45!

The Plot Breakdown For Storytelling The biggest mistake writers make is forgetting to plot. The plot is the skeleton of the story, but unfortunately it is a common occurrence for the plot structure to be lacking. A story with no plot is a story with no bones. During my time interning with Future Random House (FHP), I noticed how frequ...

📖
I’m so grateful for the knowledge and opportunities I gained during my undergraduate education! A degree is never required to become a successful writer, but it is extremely beneficial with all the skills and techniques you learn!
Never forget about your plot structure
