Dear Liberal friends,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for taking this journey with me.

I am both humbled and invigorated by your generous show of support as we undertake the process of the renewal of our PEI Liberal Party.

I sincerely appreciate our conversations, your sound advice and generous donations, and everything you are doing to help our party thrive again.

You've been gracious with your invitations to join you in your homes and businesses, and with your trust in me to lead our party back to gaining its powerful voice in Prince Edward Island. I am truly grateful and appreciative of that!

I've felt the warm embrace of the residents of District 17 who have wrapped around me as I knock on every door across the district, and Islanders are taking notice of our strong Liberal presence in the community.

Thank you, District 17. We are all in this together!

I'll close by saying the energy in the Province right now is palpable. We are rising up and being noticed, and it's because of you and your passion for our province.

We will continue to build that momentum, together, with the Liberal pride and hard work that we are known for.

I wish everyone a peaceful and restful Christmas and Holiday Season, and a happy and healthy New Year.

There's much to do, and we'll be hitting the ground running in 2023. We are on the move!!

So thankful for a great start to my campaign. So nice to hear from Islanders, old friends, and colleagues.

Sharon Cameron to lead P.E.I. Liberal Party | CBC News Sharon Cameron will officially become the new leader of the P.E.I. Liberal Party on Nov. 19.

Onward to the Leadership Convention!

As you may seen, the deadline to apply has passed, I have cleared the hurdles and I will be presenting my official candidacy for the Leadership of the PEI Liberal Party at our Convention on November 19th.

I have a great deal of work to do in the coming weeks - I will continue to reach out to Islanders and our Membership, to build their trust and seek their input prior to becoming Leader.

Our party continues to evolve and attract new people. I believe that I can bring a new focus and energy to this process of renewal.

My team will be organizing events across the Province to engage Islanders, listen to the your ideas, while sharing my thoughts and telling my story.

I know that, together, Liberals can build a compelling vision to competently address many of the challenges we face: access to health care, better preparation for the climate emergency and facing up to the challenges of inflation and the housing crisis.

A number of you reached out today regarding donating to my campaign.

Right now, we are on a push to raise $15,000 by October 2nd - which is required by the Party to confirm my candidacy.

So your contributions - no matter how much - are greatly appreciated!

Donations must be made via the PEI Liberal Party, which enables all donations to receive a receipt for Income Tax purpose. Elections PEI contribution rules and limits, therefore, apply.

Sharon Cameron is 1st person to announce bid to lead P.E.I. Liberal Party | CBC News Sharon Cameron, a former provincial deputy minister and CEO of the Workers Compensation Board, is the first person to come forward in the race to lead the P.E.I. Liberal Party.

I will be making a special announcement this morning at the West River United Church Hall (10 Church Street, Cornwall, PEI) at 9:30 a.m.!
