It’s all in the detail…

Working with classic styles leaves nowhere to hide… That’s why sourcing the perfect leather and discovering the most highly skilled craftswoman to make my bags was so important. I wanted all of the stitching, the painted edges and the back of the leather to be visible to celebrate the craftsmanship and materials involved in creating these pieces.

It’s been a long journey from first sketching the design in the Somerset factory, to choosing the materials and colours, to the tense wait for the bags to be ready! I was so nervous to see these ones in particular because the colour is quite bold! But it’s always the ones you worry about that end up being your favourites! It’s so rewarding to now see these being worn and styled by you in so many different ways ♥️

The Conker red seems to go with everything… it looks great with an all black look, against light neutrals, with blue denim or as a cool colour clash!

Each piece is made by hand in Somerset in a small studio and the leather, from a highly reputable tannery in Verona, Italy, I chose for its supple and silky quality whilst being sturdy and substantial enough to withstand the test of time.
