Push up 'basics': I've found over the years using a dowel as a guideline for a strong, solid push up has kept my form clean (as it can be). The more the dowel shifts and sways through the range of motion, the more work/conscious effort needs to be made with that particular range of motion that the dowel had shifted at. As good as you get with any exercise, the basics will always be your yard stick for clean and efficient form.
If you are currently unable to perform push ups from the floor just yet, ensure that your form is smooth and controlled from an elevated (incline) surface. This can be from a bench top, chair etc. Be sure the surface your pressing off is solid and won't slide around during push ups. Once you're able to do 8-12 comfortable reps, then gradually lower your inclined surface.

Hello all, a quick update. I will be increasing my prices for pt sessions from the 2 May, 2022; I have already spoken to most of my clients about this change. All of April will remain unchanged. My pricing is still very reasonable and still well under the industry standard for hour long sessions. I'll also like to add, I will be introducing a cancellation fee for people who don't let me know at least 12 hours in advance if they are unable to attend.

As for anyone interested in pt sessions that would like to start up in April, I have 5 spots available. I specialise in rehab, injury prevention and sport related injuries; as well as strength and conditioning. If you are interested or know anyone that is interested let me know and we'll get started asap.

Thank you for your understanding 🙏

Now that I'm moving relatively pain free, I'm focusing on activation through glutes, quads and hamstrings. Trying to keep constant tension throughout the whole movement with squats and RDL. As I had done descending sets, I kept my rest times relative to the amount of reps. At the start rest periods were about 60-90 seconds, by the end it gets to 1-5 seconds rest.
The work:
Squats 50kg: Descending sets 15 - 1 = 120 reps
RDL 50kg: Descending sets 15 - 1 = 120 reps
Weight shift under my feet with both of these movements are starting to feel more natural now, still some work to be done, much better than where I was a month ago. Playing around with different tempos at different rep ranges makes the sets much more interesting, as doing 120 reps of both squats and RDL's gets old, fast!

Very sorry for the lack of content of the last 6 months; other elements have taken priority this year and only now just getting on top of everything.
I am still taking client sessions and accepting new clients.
I will continue to work throughout the holiday period, except for the following:

- 24, 25, 26 December: closed for Christmas

- 27 - 28 December: will be taking PT sessions

- 29 December - 9 January: closed

- 10 January: commencing PT sessions for 2022

Got to break in the new belt today. Focusing on depth today and with the belt just felt oh so smooth. 5 x 3 at 100kg AGT squats never felt so easy. I'm not happy with my right knee though if I'm to be critical, that and the raising of my hips too soon from the bottom position. Overall much better than 6 months ago!

This is why I love what I do! This is after three sessions and already there is significant improvement! Do you have a similar story? Tired of seeing specialists just to have a band aid fix? Or maybe you just want to move pain free. I help you find the root cause of your aches and pains. Interested? DM me to get started today!

👋
Hi and welcome! My name is Paul and I have been into health and fitness for the best part of a decade now; and I would like to say right away that it's hard but very rewarding. Take it from someone, like myself, who has been on there own weight loss journey. It has been one of the most empowering elements to my life, taking ownership of ones own health and well-being.
From now until the end of the year I will be running my classes half price, all you have to do to is the following... Tag a friend or workout buddy and share this page. And that's it, you have half price for all sessions from now until the 18th of December.
