- Are there key themes, messages or theories behind your work?
My artistic research focuses on the theme of landscape, outer landscape and inner landscape.
For some years with the series "The MioBluismo" I dedicate my artistic investigation to the sea, to its blue that evokes the infinite and the various moods. The fluid matter rich in memories, light and changes, allows me to build lyrical landscapes in which I try to recover that ancient connection that binds man to nature. Starting from a deep search of the self, - which is indispensable for my works as well as the poetic and literary texts of which my works feed-, I explore the ductility of water, the places of memory, the different angles of reality, creating reflections without time and space where the gaze is lost, without losing the silence of listening.

…I love water and its movement both horizontal as those of the waves, both vertical as that of a stream or as that of a small waterfall that descends between the rocks, I love the sounds and the splashes, and I love the light that breaks into a thousand sparkles, in flashes and then in reflections.
My passion then has to be written down on the blank canvas and I have to find the right way to create a world, a non-place.
I wanted to experience unexpected angles, collapses, light, waterfall, splashes and "sounds" created with gestures sometimes delicate sometimes decisive incisive to create a world, a "cathedral".
the area of light is reduced to emphasize the unpredictability of nature and the wonder of water.
Water is life.
