Let's imagine the White Witch looks at this. She sees Fibonacci Numbers, and the C++ code underlying it, and realises all the possibilities of the numbers and that code, and exploits it to rule without restraint over everything. And so the World is inevitably doomed and Hope gone.

Well, it turns out we did a good enough job of that without actually needing witchcraft...

But let's say there's something in this thing that, if we could understand it properly, might give us a chance of turning all this around.

I suppose it might be a good idea to start work on that now, rather than hang around pinning our hope on a magical lion showing up, and explain this to us...

I am pretty damn sure this is not what this thing was meant to look like.
