The Village Out of School Club Jonesborough

Hi all,

This page was set up back in 2020, to gain feedback from parents within the community to see if an additional out of school club (afterschool club) in Jonesborough, would be beneficial. Due to covid-19 our plans for opening had to be postponed, but we are now back on track! We are currently working with the Planning Department and Social Services with the aim of opening in early 2023.

The purpose of the out of school club is to bring families and communities together to provide a safe, social environment where all children can thrive during the out-of-school hours, in an environment where children have the opportunity to engage in meaningful play, where they are provided with educational support and can explore new opportunities and develop new skills, whilst also giving parents/families peace of mind that their child/children are being looked after by highly qualified professionals.

Would a “Waiting club" suit you?

This service is to offer parents of children who are collected at 2pm that extra hour to stay, play and socialise with friends while waiting to be collected at 3pm with their siblings.

Children who are involved with the Waiting Club will be collected at Jonesborough Primary School at 2pm and dropped back to Jonesborough Primary School for home collection at 3pm.

The aim of the out of school club is to bring families and communities together to provide a safe, social environment where all children can thrive during the out-of-school hours, in an environment where children have the opportunity to engage in meaningful play, are provided with educational support, can explore new opportunities and develop new skills, whilst also giving parents/families peace of mind that their child/children are being looked after by highly qualified professionals.
