Music has been a refuge, a healing place, a place of worship, a gathering of friends, a place of joy and a place of sustenance. Music is my religion…

Wheel of Life - Music Video

WHEEL OF LIFE is a song about how we see life. It is also a song about the journey of the soul.

YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE LIKE A MOTION PICTURE…

We watch life play out before us like we watch a film, at the same time the projector and the observer. We try to make sense of our experiences but can only interpret the world through our own filters. We project this limited understanding onto what we think life is showing us.

YOU’RE ON THE WHEEL…

Life is a wheel; you are born and will eventually pass on from this life, completing the circle. What happens in between is your life, your story.

YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE AND YOU’RE ALWAYS SEARCHING…

Life is a mystery, a puzzle and a maze that we walk through. We spend our lives trying to understand, searching for answers.

YOUR PERCEPTIONS LIKE A SHEET OF GLASS…

Our perceptions are limited and fragile. A reflection in a mirror, a piece of glass, an illusion that can be shattered.

About

Learning to play the piano at a young age opened up a world of discovery for Alexander. Eventually, as his skills and proficiency developed, creating his own music became his main focus. He also learned how to play the guitar, which brought a whole new range of sound to work with. Starting with instrumental music, and then adding poetry, he learned how to craft his own songs. As he grew and learned more about life, he was able to incorporate his various interests in literature, art, philosophy and history into his music.

Meeting other musicians with similar tastes, he began to collaborate. The contribution they brought took the music to another level. The sum of the whole became something greater than the individual parts.

As well, over time he discovered how much satisfaction he got from teaching, helping others learn the necessary skills to play an instrument. This only increased the amount of time he could devote to playing music and contributed to his own growth as a musician.

When asked to share something about his passion for music, he replied:
