Students Puddling IVS
In Sierra Leone, to increase access to demand-driven skills training and establish the framework for a demand-driven skills development system.
With funding from the Government of Sierra Leone and the World Bank, the University of Makeni has started a Skill Development project for youths to improve access to demand-led skills training for 550 students in various components.
Today, 194 students from Agro Machinery, soil and crop sciences were divided into four groups to perform puddling in the Inland Valley Swamp in order to transplant nursed rice. They've also finished the process for vegetable crops.
