I appreciate all the support I had from our community, the Clarkstown and County Democratic Committees, my family, and the rest of the county candidates.
I am disappointed that I will not be able to pursue the issues we are concerned about on the town council, but I will continue to speak up and advocate for them.
I am excited to share that our County Legislature now has a Democratic supermajority, and congratulate Dr. Dana Stilley, Beth Davidson, Jesse Malowitz and Aney Paul for winning their seats. I know that this team will work for the public good and fight private greed,
Congratulations to Patrick Carroll for securing another term on our town council.
Congratulations to our new Town Justice Aimee Pollak as well.
I am truly honored to announce on Election Day that I have been endorsed by our Senator, and current majority leader of the United States Senate, Chuck Schumer.
I greatly admire Senator Schumer's record in office and all of the things he has done to support and improve not only New York but the entire United States.
If elected to Town Council today, I will strive to similarly grow our economy, and do what I can to help improve our community for all Clarkstown residents. I promise to listen to the people and act in your best interests.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my campaign over this past year, and to Senator Schumer for his endorsement. Now, let's get out to vote!

Elaine Philhower for Town Council, Clarkstown Ward 2 will serve all the people of Clarkstown with the same thoughtfulness she serves some of the most vulnerable volunteering with Soup Angels. Twice a week, she spends time helping and supporting those in need. This is the type of person you want serving on a local governing board.

Patch Candidate Profile: Stilley Runs For Rockland Legislature Dana Stilley tells Patch why she should be chosen for the District 17 seat on the Rockland County Board of Legislators.
Thank you Patch for inviting candidates to share our thoughts. I hope to earn your vote.
Patch Candidate Profile: Philhower Seeks Clarkstown Town Council Seat Elaine Philhower tells Patch why she should be elected in Ward 2.
Here is an eye opening statistic. Out of Rockland County's 5 Towns, there are only TWO women who currently hold elected seats; ONE Supervisor in Orangetown and just ONE Councilwoman in Ramapo. However, women make up 50% of the county's population. So why are women so underrepresented In our local governent? This Is something that stands to be corrected this fall if Monica Ferguson for Clarkstown Town Council - Ward 1, Elaine Philhower for Town Council, Clarkstown Ward 2 and Friends of Ellie Kassner get elected to the seats we are running for. If representation matters to you, please get out the vote on NOVEMBER 7th.
Join us for our Community Pasta Dinner on November 4th to support THREE important causes within our community. Your attendance will feed your neighbors in partnership with People to People, Nyack Soup Angels, and Proyecto Faro.
