Welcome to the official page of the U.S. Army Kansas City Recruiting Battalion Commander.
Establish on June 14th 1775 just a year before the Declaration of Independence we are now celebrating 249 years of the Army! This year we are celebrating how America’s Army has challenged, empowered and equipped our Soldiers, because “Be All You Can Be” is more than just a slogan, it's the Army way of life.
Today we want to take a moment to recognize the soldiers who were involved in D-Day or the invasion of Normandy during World War II. At that time it was one of the biggest naval, air, and land operation in history. Still til this day is looked at one of the pivotal days during the World War II.
We are looking forward to this summer! We have some awesome events that we will be attending soon and we are looking forward to see you guys there!!
We are proud to acknowledge and celebrate Black History Month. From the 54th Massachusetts the first black regiment to the Buffalo Soldiers we know there are many who served and paved the way for us today.

We will be at the Kansas Speedway on September 9th and 10th for the Hollywood Casino 400. Come join us we will also have Army combatives and a Joint Reenlistment Service. We hope to see you this weekend!
During the newcomers PT session Lieutenant Colonel Collins and Sergeant Major Nunes recognized Staff Sergeant Oleary from Joplin.
In the month of May, we celebrate the rich history and traditions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and recognize their profound impact on the readiness and future of America's Army.
Today we honor and recognized those who have served in the Vietnam War, thanking them for their service. Giving the welcome home they deserve.

We want to welcome our new Battalion XO, Captain Aaron Wolf. This San Antonio native enlisted in the Army in 2013. A year later he was on a 9-month tour in Afghanistan. Captain Wolf has recently earned his MBA at William Mary. He has been married to his wife for three years and in June they welcomed their firstborn son.
Today we observed Gold Star Day, a day to commemorate the mothers and families who were awarded the Gold Star-- an award that is given to families who lost their solider in a tragic death.
Meet us on Saturday the 24th at Fort Riley for an open house showcase of military life, career opportunities, and other fun activities. There will also be games, giveaways, and tours. We look forward to seeing you.

I want to thank everyone who took part of the KC Air Show last weekend at Gardner Kansas.
The battalion welcomed 24 new recruiting NCOs to the Warhorse TEAM during New Recruiter Training at Kansas City Recruiting Battalion headquarters today.
Louis Lucky Cloud served during World War II as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. In June 1944, he was among the Soldiers who jumped into Normandy.
Cloud is a Bronze Star recipient and comes from a long line of warriors, including his grandfather, Pax-an-'pín, whose Yakama name he adopted.
Happy First Responders Day! Today we honor the men and women who answer the call when a crisis arises. This includes our firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and 911 operators. Thank you for all you do.
