✨️ This beauty is the Turkey Tail mushroom. Trametes Versicolor. She's an impressive immune booster and even has anti-cancer properties!

✨️ It is rich in polysaccharides, which has been shown to boost the immune system and inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

✨️ It is not recommended as a stand-alone cancer treatment. More often, it is used alongside chemotherapy to boost the positive effects of chemo and to minimize the negative side effects of chemo. It is commonly recommended by doctors in Japan to be used alongside chemo.

✨️ Because it is so good at modulating the immune system, it's an excellent choice for anyone who needs an immune boost.

✨️ Plus, it's incredibly safe! Of course, you should still always consult your doctor and do your research when dealing with serious illness and when taking other medications.

✨️ This is the kind of herb that works best when taken in small doses every day.

✨️ Turkey tail is best used as a double extraction tincture. Meaning that the mushrooms were extracted with water and alcohol during the tincture making process. This ensures that you are receiving all the benefits from the constituents that are water solube and the constituents that are alcohol soluble.

✨️ Looking for an immune-boosting Turkey tail extract? This link is for the brand that I trust! This is an affiliate link, which means that a small portion of your purchase will bless my family, at no extra cost to you! It's a win-wim for everyone! I don't not send or post affiliate links unless it's from a brand I know amd trust! 🙌🌿❤️

What are you foraging this month!? I'd love to know. ❤️😍🌿

I am currently still bouncing back from having a baby, so my spring foraging this year is way less than usual. I would really like to go get some turkey tails to start a double extraction, I want to make violet flower infused vinegar and a violet leaf infused oil. 🌼

Forage responsibly! Ramps are lovely and they are delicious but they are also at risk becuase of over harvesting and slow growth. Do not harvest the bulb and only take 1 leaf. 🌿 Happy Spring Foraging!

Ramp season is here. I am starting to see signs for people buying ramps. A simple low impact is just to take a leaf - eaten fresh or dried to use as a seasoning and a great addition to salt. United Plant Savers has lots of information and resources on growing ramps from seed. And we be bringing some seeds to share at gather to grow conference in Virginia this weekend. 🌱

A healthy life is never something that is achieved by 1 choice. It takes a shift in lifestyle and mindset! It's also a process that takes time. It's best to take small steps, to always continually be getting better and improve that lifestyle. It's about living intentionally, with the intent to always be growing, but being okay with not being perfect.

What small steps are you taking in life right now to balance your scales and live a healthier lifestyle?? Tell me in the comments!

For me, it's been an intentional time set apart every day for deep prayer, thought, and meditation, combined with deep breathing exercises. ❤️🙌 I've also recently been more strict about food coloring consumption for my kids. It's been amazing! Not consuming nuerologically damaging ingredients actually does make a big difference in attitude, cognitive function, sleep quality, irritability, etc! We didn't even consume that many dyes before, but even a very small amount has a profound negative effect on my kids. In most countries, red 40 is illegal!!

I love using herbs in the bath!! Many plant benefits are extracted through water (like the essential oils) and can be absorbed via the largest organ, AKA, your skin!

All my bath teas come with a reusable cotton muslin bag, so you don't have a mess in the tub.

You can order this on my website, link in the comments!

Locals can pick it up at Artisan's Corner on Wall in Harissonville or Queen Bee Boutiques in Blue Springs or Your Local Food Market Louisburg, Ks !

How are you feeling on this hump day?

FYI, foraging season doesn't really end. What're you foraging this month? Tell me in the comments! 😍🌿 Happy December!

This is a tough one! I would choose coconut oil though, I find other oils for food to be superior and most of its other uses can be replaced with other oils or herbs. What would you give up?

This is tough...😬

28/11/2023

I love this stuff! You can find it on my website,
Www.botanicallymadeks.com

Locals can purchase it in Harrisonville or in Blue Springs!

23/11/2023

I love them all! What do you love?

We do a lot of these things to prevent illness. Currently, we are staying active, trying to get good sleep, taking vitamin D, and fermented garlic honey. What are you doing to stay healthy?

Foraging doesn't have to come to an end in November! What are you foraging this month?

01/11/2023

Lol, just saying. We live in a world that has incredibely unhealthy and depleted soil, which means food that is less nutritious than it used to be. If you can leave the leaves, do it! It's very good for you, the environment, gardens, animals, and the soil!

17/10/2023

What're you foraging this month?!? I am planning on harvesting the last opportunity for Goldenrod and violet leaves! 💜 ❤️

21/09/2023

There was some confusion on my reel last week about whether or not Sumac is toxic. It is not toxic, but poison Sumac is, and it doesn't have the bright red berries of the edible Sumac. I hope this clears things up! 😀🌿

Goldenrod is not responsible for your current allergy attack. It is in the same plant family as ragweed. However, the beautiful showy yellow flowers of Goldenrod are not wind pollinated, like ragweed is. In fact, some people have even used Goldenrod to help with allergies because it has natural antihistamine properties! ❤️
